I think you summed it up for all of us perfectly
Red "R" in place of "8" and the inner track embellished with touches of red. As Romp mentioned, distribution is limited to Italy
And yes looks great on your wrist!
Thanks for clarifying. I haven't been following JLC as closely as I used to, and the photo was a bit small to see the differences. But the info regarding the rational for using a red R at the 8 marker is very cool!
The fagliano strap--it looks gorgeous, but a strap will have to be replaced someday! I am not sure if I like the hands on the special edition. Thats more of whats at stake for me...I go back and forth on it. For that reason alone I would opt for the vanilla version.
Heres the US edition. Notice the different stitching on the strap, more patina to the dial markers, and the pointed baton hands versus the flared sword hands on the worldwide edition. It certainly has added character
and to compare:
Loving all the JLCs of late guys. Beautiful!
Again my fault for not following JLC as closely as I should recently, but your post clarified why I've seen differnet hands & stitching posted in photos on the net. So thank you. I was in Canada in the fall and tried on a Reverso 1931 and I greatly prefer the hands, dial and stitching on the world wide model over the US version (although I'd gladly accept either if my Wife wanted to buy one for me). Thanks again for your your informative post.
