Carson Street Clothiers - Official Affiliate Thread

Dear...Everyone,

How's it going? I hope well! My name is Brian Trunzo, co-owner of Carson Street Clothiers, and I'd like to welcome you to our official affiliate thread.

Located at 63 Crosby Street (between Spring and Broome Streets) in Manhattan's SoHo district, we are a third party independent menswear retailer that blends classic menswear with contemporary sportswear in (what we hope to be) an inviting, laid back atmosphere. Currently--along with our own label of shirts, trousers, ties, squares and blazers made in the USA, Italy, England and France--we stock around 40 brands and carry everything from umbrellas to outerwear (and anything there-between). Our brand roster includes Michael Bastian, AMI, MAN 1924, Barena Venezia, Ovadia & Sons and Valstar, to name a few. And just as a teaser: we'll be adding Missoni and Visvim for SS '14.

Our space is approximately 2000 square feet, designed with a "sophisticated industrial" feel and features a lounge with complimentary beverages and an LED television so that you (or your significant other who is tired of following you around on your weekend "hajj des hommes") can just relax and take a load off.

Founded by myself and former law school roommate, Matt Breen, we aspire to represent a break from societal norms--whether that be downtown creative types in Italian tailoring or business professionals in designer sneakers--while paying homage to our collective past (legal regalia can be found throughout our shop) in an attempt to revive the American dream of entrepreneurship. I know, a mouthful--we're trying.

So, hi. Thanks for having us! Please, grill us on anything that may enter your mind. And in the meantime, check out our e-shop (www.carsonstreetclothiers.com) for a better understanding as to the product we offer.

You can also follow us on the following social media:

Thanks again, in advance, for welcoming us into your community!

Best regards,

Brian M. Trunzo

SNS completely and utterly knocked it out of the park this season. Really can't go wrong! Though my personal favorite is the Memento! The oxblood is absolutely killer.

Hi Brian,

Welcome to Styleforum, officially. Glad to see you guys aboard. The S.N.S. Herning Memento is great, and for anyone not living in a place where it dips below freezing regularly, the Reference jacket is pretty much as much jacket as you're going to need. The other brands you carry - Mismo, Inis Meain, etc... are on point as well.

Also really looking forward to your SS14 additions, and to seeing brands we talk about a lot here (I've been preaching Barena for a while now), and some surprises as well, on your site. And when I'm in NYC, I'll have to get a drink with you.

Welcome again.

Fok.

Hey Brian,

Any possibility of getting some pics of things from Barena Venezia, Valstar, MAN 1924, and other brands that don't seem to be up on the webpage?

Thanks,

Fok.

Hey Fok,

Below are some images of our MAN 1924 Kennedy Blazers and Valstar Down Viper Vest and Porthos Down Reversible Racket, each of which are available online. Also below is a photo of the MAN 1924 field coat and vest, both in-store only.

We have not had a chance to put Barena online yet, but below are some photos of a good range of product we bought during Pitti 83. Please note that Barena is moving fast and therefore may never end up online! Also, the photos below are not our full collection, but it is a good representation of what we have!

Also, don't forget to check out GQ's 2013 New York City Guide -- we're no. 30 on the list, though it doesn't appear to be in any sort of order or anything like that!
