Made to measure is back in January at the introductory price of 1200 until Febuary. The new MTM is made in the U.K (actually my University town of Leeds) and comes in a very nice sharp English cut.

......get ready to pull that trigger 😜

Nice. May get in on this.

How many fittings do you usually do for a MTM vs bespoke? Turnaround time for a finished product? What cloth will be offered at this MTM price-point?

Do you have pics of finished MTM products on clients? MTM shirts an option?

You really should! The MTM at the moment comes with a small but well curated selection of barberis cloths (about 80).

No pictures of finished garments on people it's just very hard to get people to agree to do this. I show quite a few fit pictures of my regular bespoke work but only because I do a lot of bespoke work, what you see is just a small fraction. with a new thing like this there just isn't a big enough pool of people willing to have pictures taken yet.

I have been quietly making these for about 9 months so the product is tested, very solid and has been well recieved by real clients. The patterns are very good and the styling/proportions are bang on for a sharp English style suit, we can even do smoking jackets! Thinking of getting one of these myself to kick around the house in.....maybe in pink or red?

RE Fittings would usually do 1 but there is no policy as such, it's really as many as needed to get it right. Bespoke you are probably looking at 2 but there's no hard and fast rule. I would do a fitting without buttonholes cut. Buttonholes would be machined but functional, for an extra $100 you could have hand made buttonholes in the MTM.

Turn around time is the standard 6-8 weeks, I would love to find a lightning fast MTM but no one at the moment seems to be able to offer both the quality and speed.

Yes I am looking at MTM shirts quite seriously, there will probably be a minimum order of 4 and the pricing will be around 200 per shirt.

What is your view as a tailor of renown on such eccentricities - is it good or simply part of the options or bespoke?

Not really a problem to add pockets or say put them on the right instead of left. This is quite common for someone who is left handed.

Sometimes people will ask for exact pocket depths and widths to fit specific objects. It's tricky to manage but I just have to pay attention a bit more. With my output of say 6 suits a week and with me involved with the make up of all of them directly I can take the time to get things like this right, whereas a bigger operation would find it a bit more difficult I think.

I am in the market for a new suit. This introductory price is tempting and the fact that I will be visiting NY in February makes me want to stop by your shop!

Will be live next week, taking this week off completely to move into my new office. The MTM may not be around forever at "David Reeves", I am toying with setting up a separate/brand location for it because the bespoke work is just increasing and increasing. If anybody would like to deal with me personally on an MTM I will be running it through January at 1200 and at least through Feb at the usual price of 1500.

If anybody would like to book an appointment or pre order please feel free to get in touch.

It really is a great MTM. If you would like to pre order this Month and set up an appointment for February we can do that so you can take advantage of the January pricing.

^ David - are you going to blindfold your customers and tie their arms behind their back as you measure them up?! :p
