Crusty did it best. By some margin, IMO. All the details look essentially correct, both alone and in concert with one another, which was the key aspect of the challenge I think.

I also gave a couple of votes to coldsalmon & Thin White Duke 'cos they almost got it right (if only salmon had cinched his tie up a bit & took a more flattering photo, and TWD's square was plain white...). For the rest, DC's suit has some little style details that come off as a bit dated, stitchy's look doesn't have enough contrast between tie & suit, sb's has too much, I don't like Ebony's tie and something about the trouser fit in cp's photo looks off. And he's another victim of the blue-border square).

Shame about the narrow field, but it was a very tough challenge (esp. for those of us without solid grey suits! :) ). Looking forward to being able to play again in whatever next week's challenge is.

I liked mine, but I would have preferred my darker suit. Alas, what you saw is what I have in summer weight solid gray.

I actually like mine as much or more than any of the other fits I've seen in this challenge but I don't get much love here so I'm not expecting much support.

Crusty is never a bad choice but is sorta blah and Stichie's is nice but I agree with the comment regarding lack of contrast. I like SB's tie and I almost wore a BB that looks just like it!

I liked it, so you got a vote from me.

Me too. In fact, I seem to be running against the general consensus on this one. I liked Stitches' a lot in terms of the fit (in fact it was by far the most flattering of all), but in terms of the challenge, the grey of the suit and the blue of the tie are so close in tone that they don't seem at all distinct from each other.

I also voted for DomCologne, despite the annoying lapel flower, because the suit had classic proportions and the colour combination was done right.

My stitches are crusty. These were also my votes.

In stitches and upr_crust. Great implementations of the theme!

Frankly, I don't think anyone really nailed the look. But I went with DonCologne (dat overcoat!) and in stitches, with upr_crust also close to getting a vote.

If you'd chosen a different tie, I'd have voted for it. I just don't dig the dark dots on dark background thing. The rest of the look was sharp!

This. Also, tie looked black to me. I think you should try the exact same fit, but with a solid black tie. Would be fantastic.

Well of course it would look good with a black tie. However, I thought the challenge required a navy tie.....No? The tie is navy. The dots are only really visible under the flash of the camera at close range.

Anyway, nice win Stitchie. I really liked the individual pieces in your fit. I just didn't think there was much pop in the contrast between your suit and tie.

I'll pass on future challenges as there appears to be a bit of a bias in the voting. It's always good to check out what guys put together though so I'll continue to check out the posts. Always willing to learn!
