Got to play around with the "natural language" search. Seems to work well. I use GMAIL and search is an area that almost all third party apps stumble except Google's official one.

I do think the UI needs a little work. I'm not a fan of the blue background and sometimes threaded email conversations are not as readable as they could be. Just some minor issues I'd like to see improved.

@Jr Mouse I've really been liking Spark too. The concept of a "like" button for emails is great. Perfect for when you just want to say thanks or acknowledge you saw the message. Love the third-party integrations also.

Agreed about the UI. First thing I did was see if I could change that blue background in settings. Nope.

I actually sent them an email with detailed feedback. Most of it was praise but I requested the ability to choose a different background color. I think a shade of grey would work a lot better. :)

Interesting that you point out the "like" button. I was a little confused on its overall purpose but that makes sense. I'd like to see those quick replies be customizable too.

EDIT: I just found out you can create a folder on the sidebar for read recites. So that helps alleviate one of my other complaints that it's hard to differentiate notifications for them from ones saying you have new email.

Was a very underwhelming showing. The watch still doesn't make sense to me for what they charge and I expected more from the iOS update.

Definitely more of a dev presentation overall. But not surprising since they pulled the revised AppleTV at the last minute which I suspect was to be the star of the show.

The Apple Music presentation was really terrible. And awkward (Drake).

Sure, but after all the rumors of these updates being similar to Snow Leopard I expected more talk of improvements and optimizations under the hood. iOS is in desperate need of it.

I think the improvements are all low level - speed and bug fixes. Plus Swift going open source means they are happy with the underpinnings, so there will be a bunch of dev stuff about that. I am happy they are doing a maintenance release... the system needs it.

Did they mention speed improvements with iOS? I don't remember it. I'd think they would brag about it if these types of optimizations are happening.

Dear Apple Store Genius:

Yes, when you took my phone in to repair the screen and I asked for it back, it was indeed so I could clear my browsing history and to close some open Appreciation internet tabs.

I was worried about this once. Computer froze (video card broke), and when they rebooted after replacing the card, wasn't sure what was going to pop up.

You're just a dime a dozen, don't be ashamed! Those geniuses have seen it all.

Somehow managed to drop my phone at just the right angle to break the screen even with a case. Getting it repaired on Wed at the local Apple Store. Was quoted $109 which seems less then I had anticipated.

Regarding the Spark email app I recommended earlier. I still think it's a great app, but i've been seeing more and more bugs. Surprised by the lack of updates, but I think I grew spoiled by how quickly Outlook and Mailbox were updated to fix things.
