How many generations back received the iOS 9 or 10 updates? Google dropped the Nexus 5 (1 gen old) for Android nougat 7.0. Meanwhile apple updated the 23-year old Apple II

Has anyone else noticed that the keyboard is less accurate and the autocorrect is worse now?
Nope. Exact same for me.

One of the most irritating things it has been doing is failing to capitalize the first word after I insert a period by pressing space twice. Probably happens half the time. Seems to happen more in iMessages than in Safari.

Actually now that you mention it, the keyboard behavior has changed in one major way that bothers me: after you hit the special characters key to insert a comma or whatever and then hit space, it doesn't revert back to the alphabet keyboard. You have to hit the ABC key to invoke it back.

I'm used to being able to hit space and start typing along. Instead, I do that and I start typing random special character gibberish for a couple strokes and have to edit.

Edit: but now that I check again, it doesn't do that anymore.. wtf. I could have sworn there were instances where that was happening. MAybe I'm going insane.

That picture is hilarious. I remember wondering how that Belkin dongle would accommodate people with regular 3.5mm headphone jacks and no lightning adaptors. That picture captures that conundrum perfectly.

Edit: currently restoring from backup but I like the taptic feedback for the home button. Sweet, sweet phone so far.

Lot's of scalpers at the Apple store.

As expected, one-handed use is all but impossible, so this will be a challenge to get used to. The screen is noticeably sharper and I love how great the battery life is so far. My 6S didn't last for shit on iOS 10 for some reason.

Dual speakers are nice but the quality isn't superb tbh. Still an improvement over the older phones.

Home button feel is great. I prefer setting 2 instead of 3. 3 is a bit too intense.

Currently rocking the apple leather case in saddle brown and trying to order a glass screen protector.

I'm glad I have the 7 Plus in time for my trip to Iceland in two weeks. Hopefully I can snap some dope pics of dat aurora borealis.

Picked up a 7+ from the store today. Do I need to update my 6 to iOS10 and then back up or can the 7 restore from a iOS 9 backup?

And sorry to give you some bad news GreenFrog but you're probably not going to pick up the northern lights with a phone camera unless it's a clear night and the lights are super strong. Either that or have a tripod and an app that can increase the exposure time.

You should be fine restoring from an iOS 9 profile backup.

Living with the 128 GB black 7 for 2 days, I also made the switch from the carrier I've had since '99 (AT&T). Thumbs up so far.

You can increase exposure time for as long as you like on my old Symbian based Nokia 808 with its 41 megapixel camera. Other than pictures and recording distortion free sound it's not good for very much else. I'll rent it out to you Froggy

No complaints with the home button; I dig it actually. Since I was already running the dev iOS10, syncing was a breeze and Verizon runs all over AT&T in NoCal.

Haven't had charging issues, but for now just have the adapter on my Shure 425s with no issues given the setup. Performance and the screen are great.
