Why would they put effort into making it "stand out" when virtually all users have a case anyway? I have zero problems with the way it looks and don't really desire any changes. Sometimes if you change for change's sake you just screw it up.

Because it's Apple and they have always had a level of pride in product design. They may not always nail it, but you generally feel like they put effort into it.

Just wish they put effort into making it stand out.

The new Samsung Edge is a far more interesting design. As it most of what Motorola was doing and Nokia.

I remember an article a month or so back saying that apple was testing 2 or 3 redesigns for the 7. One was a "radical" (radical may be too strong a word but you get my gist) redesign. The other was supposed to be the fallback one that looked very close to the 6.

Looks like there were significant issues producing the radically redesigned version that pushed them to stick with the conservative design.

Fucking sucks. Four years with the same shell? Fuck that noise.

Anyone have Trackr? https://www.thetrackr.com/

These things look really cool. The basically stole the idea from Tile, but did it much better. Little blue-tooth devices you can stick on your keys, bag, pets, etc to find them anywhere within a certain distance. As someone who always manages to misplace my keys at home I am sold.

They have a model for your wallet too, but TBH it looks way to thick to actually use it like that. Maybe in a generation or two they could get it down to the size of a proper credit card and we would be talking. icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

EDIT: Selling these for pets and offering inscriptions seems like a brilliant market play too.

Sounds like just new ipad and smaller iphone announcement no? Everything else is just software.

Was hoping for an update to the watch...

Will probably have new bands and branded watches.

Looks like the iPhone SE will have everything the iPhone 6S has but 3D touch. Surprising they left out that feature, but it's overall a much more solid of a device then people speculated.

If it had 3D Touch I would have downgraded to it. I can't live without 3D Touch now.

Funny how it has better specs than the 6 now but still costs less.

When does the new Macbook Pro come out?
Hopefully this June at WWDC. I'll be buying one then to replace my 5 year old MBA.

Thing has been very solid I will say. Apple makes great computers.

I hope the new MBP gets a redesign.

Do they usually announce notebooks in June? Thinking of selling my Macbook, between the desktop and ipad it hardly gets used at home now.

I can't recall 100% but I believe they introduced the first Retina MacBook pros during 2012's WWDC.

Updated to iOS 9.3 and it prompted me to update my carrier settings as well, which I did. I don't know what it tweaked but now I barely get 2 bars of "4G" in my office building. I used to get a couple bars of LTE.

I've been running the beta for 9.3 for a couple weeks with no problems. I like the nightshift mode a lot.
