When I bought my MBA in 2011 it definitely was the better choice considering speed, price, screen etc but these new MBPs look great. This ol' girl should last a few more years though, who knows what the MBPs will be like then!

Safari is terrible at everything. Use Chrome.

Broke the screen on my iPhone 5 this weekend. Dropped it walking back to my condo and was without a case. Must have hit at just the right angle as the whole thing is a shattered mess. This is my third iPhone model and first time to have something like this happen. frown.gif

Wasn't able to get an appointment at the Apple store today, but I may swing by another one Tuesday. Are they still offering front glass replacements for the 5? I know that was an option on the 4. I may also look into swapping it out for a refurbished model depending on the out of pocket cost.

Also open to the idea of a 3rd party repair shop, but am a little hesitant to go that way versus getting Apple to look at it. Anyone have experience with this?

I dropped mine in a river. Battery fired as well as water between screen and glass. Replacement for glass + screen was $100 and seemed a common fix. (I opted to just replace the battery and the water on the screen dried up the next day.)

my 4S may have bitten the dust.

My 4s still works but barely. After 4-5 near fatal drops the screen is still functional except that I can't click icon's on certain parts of the screen (can't log into some apps and tinder isn't much use b/c I can't chat or change my photos). One of the speakers doesn't work. Thanks to these developments, I'm in the market for a new phone.

Welcome to Apple's planned obsolescence. My wifi kicked the bucket just as the 5 came out.
