Yesterday night I saw a crowd outside the IFC (a big mall here) 10 minutes away from the Apple store. I managed to get a glimpse, and it was for people selling their newly gotten iphones to a few guys, who'd amazed a pile of hundred or so. Local news here in HK indicates rapid dropping in iphone prices, dunno why though.

I stopped in my local APple store on Saturday morning. There was a long line to buy but no problem walking in and playing with the demos. I like the 6. The 6Plus will be to large for my needs but it was impressive. I just think it would be a hassle to carry around but it does feel oh-so-trim-and-light.

Passed by union square store on the way to dinner. Shorter line, no more FOBs.

It's almost as if Apple has gone out of their way to make this phone as slippery as possible.

I actually like the way it feels. Sleek. A little more slippery, yes, but it's not like a wet bar of soap. Since I prefer no case, I'll be adding Apple Care.

I was told AC does not cover accidental damage, so, if you drop it there is no coverage.

Isn't there 1 year warranty and add'l if you purchase with a CC? So, already 2 year before next release. And again, no accidental dmg only software or internal hardware issues

I think it's $99 for Apple care and $79 each for up to two incidents of accidental damage.

I just buy my expensive purchases like the iPhone with my Amex and get the additional year in warranty plus purchase protection. Granted, purchase protection is only for the first 90 days but I've never found apple care worth it for me since I've never dropped my iPhones. Knock on wood.

i'm thinking about adding it solely because i don't want to use a case.

that, and I regretted not adding Apple Care to my Macbook.

I'm thinking of going with squaretrade instead of AC. Only a $50 deductible and covers up to 4 breaks (AC is only 2).
