The minor/3rd party app demos are always a drag during keynotes.

Nope. No weight / thickness reductions for the 15". Never heard of Crystalwell either.

I wonder if the next iteration of the MBPs will have a different body style. The current style is getting a bit stale for me, so maybe I'll hold out and continue using my MBA.

^ The 15" MBP sounds pretty awesome. I can't imagine the body style changing a ton. I can see the next one probably getting a little thinner/lighter, but not dramatically so.

Really want an iPad mini with Retina Display.

I'm surprised they didn't include the finger print scanner in the iPad Air.

Perhaps an iPad Pro is coming with the scanner.

I don't think there's enough differentiation within tablets, especially in terms of performance and what one could do with said increased performance, that would make an iPad Pro a compelling product.

Gonna go check out the new MPBs.

Anyone able to hook me up with employee pricing?!

That's a pretty typical reaction to the keynotes—always has been.

I think Touch ID makes the most sense on an iPhone—it's the device you're likely to always have with you, and so it's the most vulnerable to theft/loss. It's also more of a hassle to have a lock screen code on a phone, since you end up typing it in more often than you would on an iPad. Eventually Touch ID will probably make it to other devices, though.

John Siracusa's incredibly in-depth, 28000-word review of OS X Mavericks is up:

Still waiting for Mavericks to appear on the App Store.

you'll see that they're not very tick/heavy at all, especially compared to the non-retina MBP's that have the CD drive.

lol @ optical drives. Does it have a floppy disk drive too?

If you're not seeing Mavericks in the App Store, use this link: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/os-x-mavericks/id675248567

Just finished installing Mavericks. First immediate thing I'm noticing is the way scroll works and accelerates on Safari is different. They must have re-calibrated it. I like it a lot more now.
