I bought a vintage German jacket about 10 years ago, looking back I cannot figure out why. It lacks a collar, has large antler buttons, pieces of antler on the collar, and now seems totally impractical to wear with todays' styles. Is there anything I can do to make this a little more modern? And if there is, after I make the alterations, how should I be wearing this thing? Casual with jeans and a vneck? I've got NO idea what to do with it. Its a dark brown jacket. With "Hauser Kleidung Bad Tolz" in the right side, "Dolina Modell Exclusivo" in the left. Thanks!! http://postimg.org/gallery/7su8n0is/ gallery with more photos. Any help appreciated!

It would be great for a Laibach concert.

SO basically I should try to recover my $15 on eBay? Or just ditch it at the Salvation Army? Like I said, I bought it almost 10 years ago. So not a loss to just make it disappear.

You can't meaningfully alter this to suit modern US likes - sell it to someone who will appreciate it for what it is.

Wilkommen der Styleforum traumahawk.

The only ideas I can think of are:
01) Enjoy it as costume wear. Accessorize with lederhosen, braces, feathered hunters hat, accordian & tin cup.
02) Find 3 other souls with similar jackets and start a band together
03) Hang around hotel entrances, offering to carry the guests' luggage. The tips will quickly pay for the jacket.
04) Wear boots and hike along trails frequented by antlered wildlife.
05) Send audition tape of you wearing jacket, repeating the words, 'Welcome Mr. Bond. I have heard so much about you.'
06) Stand beside office building doors and open them for people for no apparent reason.
07) Buy a monkey & hand-cranked organ.
08) Take up Yodelling.
09) Hold sign that says 'will work for strudel.'
10) Drink at German beer halls. Hit on women, saying, 'Hallo Ich möchte Ihre Honigmelone Brüste fühlen!'
11) List it back on Ebay with these 10 creative suggestions ^ on how to enjoy it.

Send it to me, I'll wear it. It might stop people asking if I'm an American.
