I mean, it seems plausible but you'd have to go completely work the results up yourself to know if they did the numbers correctly.

Also, saying something is theoretically possible, doesn't mean it's likely. I mean, I could have won the lottery... It was possible. But someone 30 miles away won. FML

The deflategate debates really leverage pats fans core competencies of a) having a victim complex and b) having far more time and inclination to argue on the internet past the point anyone feels like engaging them anymore.

except the scope of what could have happened in this particular instance is so very limited that this is an absurd comparison/critique. Especially when if the balls deflation could be a result of natural causes it undermines the league's entire case.

Deflategate was stupid. It sucks that the Patriots lost a draft pick on the basis of shoddy analysis, but life goes on. The Patriots are the most successful team since 2000 and arguably the most successful team over any 15 year stretch, period. I can live with some people who use allegations of cheating to feel better about their own team's mediocrity.

15 straight winning seasons, 13 division titles and playoff appearances, 9 conference championship appearances, 6 Super Bowl appearances and 4 Super Bowl victories. The Patriots once again win the AFC East and have a first round bye (sustained success makes people hate your team and be willing to believe the worst). It doesn't even matter if they don't win another Super Bowl with Brady (not that I'd mind another ring). Their place in the ranks of the great dynasties in NFL history is secure. It's not going to happen again in my lifetime (most likely), so I'm going to enjoy it along with every other Patriots fan out there.

Colts didn't even manage to win the worst division in the NFL and are sitting at home. Couldn't have happened to a nicer group of whiners. Oh, and the Ravens of "our coach doesn't know how to call timeout when he's confused, complains our formations are illegal and then contradicts himself by trying to change the rules to make them illegal going forward so he can't be outcoached" fame are staying home too.

Hold on hold on. Edina said he doesnt take playoff victories into account. So then wouldn't the Colts with manning be the most successful? :fu:

As a yankees fan, I can respect this perspective, even though (as a jets fan) I hate the pats' continual success. It's the pats fans that have huge victim complexes despite their success that are so insufferable.

So Belicheck has a black eye, Chandler Jones is shirtless on a bad trip in front of a police department, and Gronk mysteriously visits the hospital for a hand injury.

All this week.

So who do St. Louis Rams fans root for now? Kansas City?

Packers, Steelers, or Cowboys.
