The guy is a great athlete, but he's a moron and easily the dirtiest player in the league right now. Why even try to knock Brown out at that point? The game is almost over, play it completely safe.

Fucking Marvin Lewis should have controlled his players. I can't believe he stood by and watches as that shit went down.

All I saw was Pacman shoving Joey Porter (who is a coach). Thats what the 2nd penalty was called on.

And you stay classy Cincy...

Nah. Suh acts up and does questionable shit a few times a season, but he knows people are watching him so he tries to be sneaky about it. Burfict just doesn't give a shit and will headhunt with his team's playoff hopes on the line. I'm confident Suh isn't dumb enough to make that mistake.

Suh is more petty dirty like slyly kicking a QB in the nuts while Burfict seems more dangerous dirty where he's trying to end someone's season.

Or they might commit the most embarrassing meltdown since the 2000 Blazers. Who knows?

Pushing a coach when you know the refs are trying to keep things from spinning out of control? Sheed-worthy.

I take your point about game deciding penalties, but obviously the refs were trying to get control of a situation that was getting out of control - at which shoving someone who's not wearing a uniform (no doubt Porter was mouthing off, as he regularly did as a player) is going to stand out. And after that headshot, plus your fans having thrown shit on the field during the game, aren't going to earn you extra leeway.

At some point if you don't want the refs to swing the outcome with an unportanlike conduct-type penalty you have to have the sense to understand the situation and not put them in that situation.

Poor Burfict was crying after the game. Poor, sad little delicate flower.

But that's how the headshot penalties are generally called, no? Doesn't require that the refs read the mind of the hitter. And it's not like Burfict has earned the benefit of the doubt.

A few years back when the league was starting to crack down on violent hits James Harrison got hit with a number of questionable penalties and fines, at least some of which were because he'd made himself a target by his reputation for botderline hits and hotheadedness.

Burfict has been dirty since he played at ASU, but I don't think it deserves Nances ten minute rant

Self-righteous moral indignation can be quite intoxicating.

Burfict is a student of the game. He was offended and needed a safe place.

So... the Steelers are done right? I mean Rapelisburger's arm is messed up, and Brown is concussed

I'd say yes, unless they both have amazing recoveries. They're already down to practice squad running backs.
