so if the NFL admitted they missed a cost that literally lost you the game (the 10 second run off), and you miss the playoffs by 1 game, what do you do? can they sue for damages/losses in playoff ticket sales and TV money? would be hilarious if they did it

Al Davis would probably have done something like that given the chance. I agree it would be amusing, but I doubt it would happen. I'd think there are so many factors determining who makes the playoffs (like whether your team can actually win games, records of other teams in a similar position, etc.).

If I were defending that suit I would create a long video montage that shows every critical call that significantly benefited the plaintiff over the years. Maybe Al or whoever would end up owing me money

The Pats talk is pretty evenly split here between they won't win and they're pretty good. Sorry people want to talk about what's been the best team of the past 15 years.

Arizona may be the best team in the NFL. Playmakers on offense, defense, and special teams. They looked very impressive last night despite a slight let-up after they jumped out to the big lead.

I'm so happy for Fitzgerald. He has a real QB after all these years... would have been one of the best WR in history...

Still so pissed the Steelers beat them in the Super Bowl. So many good players on that Cards team who deserved a ring -- Kurt Warner, Fitz, Anquan Boldin, Edgerrin James, Adrian Wilson. At least Warner got one during the Greatest Show on Turf era.

Anquan Boldin got a ring too with the Ravens.

When Lance Armstrong was winning all those Tour de Frances, that's all everyone wanted to talk about too.

Different team. Same old Rex.

wtf was that shit last night?

So which version of Johnny Leprechaun got himself in trouble last weekend? Was it Johnny Eightball or Johnny Highball? LOL this guy is even dumber than I thought … which considering how dumb I actually thought he was makes it nearly impossible to understand that someone could in fact be dumber than that. He may even serve as a foil of sorts to Jameis Winston in which case Winston would practically look like Albert fucking Einstein.

It was Johnny Drunkball. How stupid can he be taking a video with a bottle of alcohol in your hand? If he wasn't holding a bottle he would at least have a shot of lying and saying he wasn't drinking.

Maybe he really wants to treat the NFL as a hobby for a few years and then go work for his father's company.

I can't stand Warner. Some of those other guys I like. But the only way you deserve a ring is if you win one. It's not an award for being a great player or a great human being. It's not due recognition for a long, successful career. It's what you get for winning the Super Bowl. That's why some marginally talented douches have multiple rings and some fantastic players have none.

Probably they should just give everyone a Super Bowl ring when they retire so nobody feels bad.
