NFL 2016-17 Thread - Page 220

@Texasmade, fair enough. I just dislike the way even average QBs get way more credit than the rest of their teams. Plus Strahan is one of my favorite players. Eli has been good at times, but not "let's fawn over him like he's a god" good. Not accusing you of that; just a general observation.

And troll away; that's half the fun in sports threads.

Also when your QB leads the league in interceptions 3 times in his career...

Giants had a winning record 2 of those years, though.

missing playoffs in 2010 because team got swept by eagles i think. Same 10-6 record as eagles, though

Here's a list of key players (read: starters) that were plagued with injuries the season the Pats made the AFC Championship game last year:

- Steven Ridley
- Tommy Kelly
- Jerod Mayo
- Danny Amendola
- Vince Wilfork
- Aaron Dobson
- Aqib Talib
- Rob Gronkowski

On the other hand, Eli "The Clutch" Manning has "ESPY-winner-Greatest-Catch-of-All-Time-Except-It-Really-Wasn't" Odell Beckham and led his team to another consecutive losing season.

Most teams have injuries to key players by the post season, though. Giants led the league in adjusted games lost the past two seasons. Pats last season was on better side. Not to mention the Giants roster has been trash for the most part. You can put any QB you want under center for NYG and they still wouldn't have made the playoffs.

As an aside, the pronunciation of talib as ta-leeb is absurd and I hate it. Your name is Tahleb. It means student.

That's ironic

I enjoyed reading the TB Facebook posts. It's actually quite refreshing to see a well-reasoned athlete response to a controversy (100% lawyer written or no) as opposed to the standard lame excuses and bullshit

But what was more refreshing is to watch him choke a little bit as he sucks it. Suck it, Brady!

Go ahead and enjoy yourselves while you can. Brady is going to shit on your team next time they meet.

Bob Kraft looks like an over-tanned Oompa Loompa. Also, relevant to SF, does he just have a whole closet full of contrast collar dress shirts?

You don't need "wiggle room" if you're lying.
I have no idea if Brady is lying or not, but the fact that he has a whole entourage of hand-jobbers working for him doesn't really cut much ice either way.
