NFL 2016-17 Thread - Page 203

Matt Ryan had around that many his last college season too.

Stats don't tell the whole story. Some of the ints are Winston's fault and some are on the fault of the receivers but trying to translate college stats into the pros is just silly. If you watched him over last season, the ints come from him staring down his receiver and not looking off the defenders while others are WRs giving up on a play. His mistakes are correctable. I wouldn't be surprised if he throws 18 or more ints this year but he will be a future stud.

Matt Ryan 14 interceptions, not 18.
The NFL is harder than College.
NFL has 16 games. College has 12 games.

You're right. Stats don't say everything....

Mariotta and Winston will both be busts.

you are barking up the wrong tree on this one. Yes im an fsu fan but if you watch the tapes or even the nfl breakdowns you'll see the vast majority of his ints were not his fault. He was the most accurate and strongest passer in cfb there's no other way to spin it.

What a freaking asshole. Hey look at me... isn't never suffering any consequences for your actions funny?

Yet. The key word is "yet." His actions stand a pretty good chance of washing him out of the NFL, landing him on the police blotter, and blowing through all his millions.

what actions are those? Yelling an obscenity on campus? Firing a bb gun? Being accused of rape when that charge is almost completely discredited? Boy we have a monster on our hands....

I think if a real police investigation was done, rather than the shit show they had, that more people would be comfortable with him.

Also, don't act like it was just having a BB gun. 13 windows were broken.
You also ignored the crab leg incident(s)
At least be objective about it.

Right, "discredited." Dude is a grade A jackass, as evidenced by that picture. Everybody does dumb shit, but most people learn from it. Dude has had the world bend over and grab its ankles for him, but that shit won't last forever.

Yeah, the fake "we're not really going to investigate this because this is a football town" vibe came off strong on this one, even if it was untrue. The crab legs incident where his punishment was being suspended from the baseball team when his plan is to go into the NFL was a joke. So was suiting up for a game he had been suspended from. The latter may have been the dumbest in a way.

Also the extremely dochebag move of his lawyers by tweeting the girls name to the public. WTF

Also how Winston's lawyers were told by the police and FSU and were able to question two witnesses even before the state attorney was told about the case?

And FSU didn't investigate (required by title 9) or even interview the girl until 12 months later when public opinion turned?

ETC ETC ETC

Dude, I won't re-hash the case but it is clear you haven't followed it that closely, I'll I will say is that here's all the people who are in on the conspiracy to keep Jameis free from rape charges: FSU, Tally PD, a former Florida judge, the Bucs PI who investigated the case... And in a kangaroo court where due process doesn't exist and no evidence is needed to convict someone, Jameis' accusers won bupkis.

He's a douche... so what? The NFL is 95% douches. He's not a fucking saint, no one is even saying that. He's an immature 20/21-year old college kid... there's nothing about him that's unique is kind of the point.

Winston reminds me a lot of Big Ben, down to the off-the-field issues. If he can keep those issues to a minimum, I think he'll be a pretty good pro. He doesn't have the problems that have plagued recent high-profile QB busts: He can run a pro-style offense, he is well-regarded by his teammates, and he has passion for the game of football.

This Wells report is bogus btw
