Is Phil Simms going to be commentating any more games this season? I'm not sure how much more I can scratch my head when he talks about kicking "field goes"

As my brother is fond of saying, Peyton Manning is the greatest regular season quarterback in the history of the NFL.

Playoffs, not so much.

Not sure about Rodgers man, he might not be able to take care of business next week. Patriots should be able to take care of Indy though.

I'm a big Rodgers and Packers fan, but the Seahawks are SOOO tough on D.

+1. On top of that Rodgers is a lot more injured than he's letting on. He could barely move today and was forced to throw a lot of quick short passes because he couldn't move around in the pocket to extend plays. The last time the Seahawks played a team that relied on a lot of short quick passes in the post season was last year's Super Bowl.

Really looking forward to Seahawks Packers next week. I think I have to go for Green Bay considering my dislike of Pete Carroll, though I suspect Seattle will pull out a close one at home. I think the Patriots should take care of the Colts (I assign a Patriots win roughly a 2/3 probability), but one never knows. Weird stuff happens in the playoffs.

I thought he might be playing possum. He sure seemed to come alive in the second half- moving out of the pocket and a couple of shovel passes on the way to the line of scrimmage.

he just needs Hans and Franz to pump.....him up

You don't really play possum in a do or die game in the playoffs when you're losing. To me it looked like GB made adjustments on offense in the 2nd half and stopped letting Rodgers sit in the pocket. The offense became a lot of short passes with the receivers breaking tackles.

Playing possum against a team that never lost on the road and had the lead after the first half? That just sounds needlessly risky to me. I think it's a combination of adjustments like Texasmade said and him just getting a little more loose. He relied on a lot of shovel passes too which doesn't inspire a lot of confidence.

I think the game plan first half called for protecting Rodgers and planning on pocket passing being enough to win. At half time they realized it wouldn't cut it and risked his calf for more movement in the pocket.

Yeah but wouldn't you consider stretching the ball out like that a "football move?"
