A fight breaking out between two guys at football practice? That's a first.

Brandon Graham is finally showing something, but they ended up taking Nate Allen in the 2nd round at safety, and he's been a shit show. Both of their careers combined are never going to come close to Earl Thomas.

I'm kind of surprised people seem to hate Pete Carroll though. He seems to be a pretty fun guy and always seems complimentary of other teams/players. He doesn't really do any dick move-stuff or have any horrible sideline antics like Jim Harbaugh does.

Most of the crackdown on defensive backs this year that everyone hates is probably due to the Seahawks. They rode that defensive mentality to a championship, so good for them - can't really blame them. The Seahawks seem to take everything that fans hate about other teams (trash talk, penalties, getting caught using banned substances) to the next level.

I hate Sherman, and don't see that changing. If you're going to be a loudmouth, so be it. Not my style, but whatever. But if you're going to talk as much as he does, you better show up to speak to the media after every game. Don't duck them if another team completes a few passes against you. And if you're the best CB in the NFL, nut up and line up across the other team's #1 on every play.

I don't much follow college football, so I also don't know about the hate around Carroll. I mean, I know he bolted USC when sanctions were coming. The only other situation where I remember thinking he was an ass was his reaction to Sanchez entering the draft.

This was some of it. Also, when his players were accused of off-field thuggish behavior he tended to come across as protecting/screening them, and being more concerned about keeping them on the field than about addressing the alleged behavior. Major caveats: that's just an impression from general media coverage living here in LA, and not from closely following any of it; in most or all instances, we're talking alleged behavior by the players; hardly a unique approach for a college coach. But there was definitely a sense that he adhere more to the old school "protect the players and their eligibility at all costs" mentality. Of course, he also won, which makes your perceived misdeeds that much more offensive to those who aren't fans of your team/program.

And again through general media coverage, he generally came across an affable guy who engaged with and cared about the community (charity work, etc.)

Am I the only guy that likes Richard Sherman?

^ yes. What a fucking dickbag that guy is.

I'll never forgive him for what he did to Erin Andrews

I like Sherman. It's hard to argue that he isn't one of the top CB's in the league along with Peterson, Haden, and Revis.

Erin Andrews was totally fine with the rant. She even said she wished more players would be like him after the game instead of giving the same robotic answers.

I resent Pete Carroll for turning Bill Parcells' Patriots who won the AFC Championship into a mediocre and irrelevant team. Things worked out fine (got Brady / Belichick), but I'm not giving Carroll credit for that. He also just comes across as too damn smug for my liking and seems to think his players only need the maturity of the frat boy types he coached at USC. I mean, I know he was used to working with paid players at USC but still. I think Sherman is a talented CB and a brash, arrogant loudmouth when he wins, but he doesn't know how to take a loss.

Wow, neo being a white knight little bitch.

Andrews didn't give crap. Of all sideline reporters I'd not worry about, with the best intentions in mind, it would be her.

I LOVED what he did to Skip Bayless.

So because you don't like Skip Bayless (I don't either) you celebrate Sherman's being a classless, ignorant asshole on national television? Ummm… ok.

I think you're leading the witness.

There are far greater things to dislike many other players for besides his shit talking. Plus, I hate the 49rs.

In other news… I think this guy really needs a new PR manager. Just be glad you can only see the head portion of the photo… there's more.

In fairness, I believe this is a scheme issue, and not really up to him. Also, fwiw, late in the game against the Cowboys this year, he started following Dez Bryant around the field, and I think he did just fine.

All in all, he seems like a great guy to have as a team mate/on the team that you root for, but really annoying to everyone else.

Wait, have we gotten to the point where we take Neo's schtick so seriously that we start to mock him for it?
