National Hockey League 2013-2014 - Page 35

Lucic is a clown and all, and told some Montreal players that he's going to kick their asses next year while in the handshake line. ok, whatever, is this shocking? no. is this the first time that a player said something of the sorts? absolutely not.

but come on Montreal, don't go bitching and whining to the media that the mean guy was still being a meanie.

Lucic is such a goon. He sounded so butt hurt when the press were interviewing him asking about what he said in the handshake line.

Yeah... this is par for the course between two hated rivals in a Game 7, unfortunately society has become so sissified that the bleeding-heart PC types have their jimmies in a rustle over it. A physical player known for agitating and playing on the edge makes a contentious comment after a Game 7 loss to someone he's been battling with all series?? Colour me surprised. The fact that this is generating outrage is silly.

I am sad that the Bruins lost, but only for Iginla. I have a bad feeling he'll be one of the game's greatest to never win a Cup.

But, but... Milan Lucic is beyond good right now.

i have no idea what to expect for Rangers vs. Habs considering I could never make it through watching a full regular season game against Montreal without falling asleep.

I don't know that Weise bitched or whined; he really just shared what Milan said to him. But for some, that's a worse offence than threatening to kill someone.

Too bad about Lucic. You've gotta love him as a player, but he's a serious douche.

That post game interview with Lucic was golden, seeing him so flustered and acting less mature than my 11 yr old made my evening.

I cannot count how many post series handshakes I have seen and from series way more emotional than even this one, Habs-Nord in the 80s for example, and I cannot recall ever seeing a player jaw at his winning opponents like that. Maybe it has happened who knows.

In hockey culture you suck it up, look the guy in the eye shake his hand. If you can't bring yourself to say congrats then you simply stay quiet. Hard to do but its a critical part of the tradition and why it is such an amazing ritual.

It was the hockey media who saw it and brought the questions up. Should Weise have kept it to himself and said no comment -yes for sure. The video spoke for itself.

In terms of people making a big deal, I don't see it. Listen any story that is a bit different gets pumped up in the media cause there is so much competition for attracting attention. This is no more blown up than a myriad of stories daily.

Let face it Lucic is online media and twitter's best friend. They need guys like him for content.

I'm so happy the Habs sent these clowns packing. Their brief period of relevance in the Montrea/Boston rivalry will be remembered more for their antics and general stupidity than for their play. Which is too bad, because there was, and is, some skill on that team.

What a bunch of losers.

Nash finally scored. Among other goal scorers.

To charactarize a whole team as losers is an interesting viewpoint. Spoken like a Montreal fan caught up in the rivaly. Lucic's display of unsportsmanship does say something about him. But I really dont think people can say that Rask, bergeron, Iggy and most of the othrs are losers. I remember Lebron James storming off the court a few years ago not shaking anyone's hand. Its an emotional time. These guys dont always make the best choices.

Congrats to Montreal. Price was brilliant. They are a fun team to watch. Well coached and they execute very well. Better team won. Bruins defense had too many young guys not ready for playoffs Lundqvist will have to be brilliant to beat Montreal. But hard to see any team beating The Hawks or Kings this year. The west has so much talent.

Rangers certainly molested the Habs today. Yikes.

Hank was beating today. Fun game to watch... Montreal looked spent.

Habs seemed like they were taking a break after beating the B's. They had some push in the 2nd, but a failed power play kind of sunk them and the Rangers jumped.

Ovechkin taken away in an ambulance after a leg injury playing in the world's against Germany. Oh lawd.

Also word is Carey Price wasn't in practice. That collision looked pretty painful.
