them Kings, they keep pushing.

The Kings did get a lucky goal to put them up 2-1 in the 3rd, but San Jose didn't respond (unless you count taking a penalty and giving up a PP goal as responding). From what I can recall, LA pretty much dominated the last part of the 3rd period, both in term of goals and posession. San Jose had the bad break then fell flat.

From my understanding, it was a bad call on the 2-1 goal, but I think the much bigger issue is SJ failing to put away the Kings after being up 3-0. Embarrassing.

So good kings and wild won.

Ugh. Colorado showed their immaturity last night not being able to close that one.

agreed on Colorado, i wanted them to put away Minny. Oh well, Chicago will do it anyways. Colorado will be back next year.

LA just killed it. There's some J. Quick doubters here, and perhaps I've been one of them since the LA d is so strong, but he made some really superb saves last night and no doubt propelled LA to that win.

back when it was 2-0 San Jose, I said I was not worried about LA. Then SJ pushed it to 3-0, and I figured LA would still make a series of it, but to pull the big comback is awesome.

Quick was clutch when his team needed him to be. 39 saves on 40 shots = icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

also held strong over the course of 5 consecutive SJ powerplays. it was game 7 and every single minor hook and pull was being called.

Mason was great for Philly. They're done for the year, but it wasn't because of a goaltending problem.

Round 2 guesses:

LA > Anaheim in a rough series
Chi > Minny

Rangers > Pens (biased guess, i know)
B > Montreal in a rough series

of course my guesses would mean that the conference finals would be made of 3 of the 4 teams from last year. yay for variety.

Halak's right traded to the Isles. Torts done in Vancouver.

Hawks Kings

Bruins Pens

Bruins Hawks

Bruins.

Thinking things line up almost exactly the same as last year, but with Boston exacting revenge.
