not strictly a buying/selling post (sorry in advance) but I've got a guy i got in touch with vis ebay from whom i'm trying to negotiate with for a pretty sweet cloak denim jacket (and if you're the guy in question please PM me) but ebay won't let me respond to his emails. i mailed him a few days ago no problem, but now every time i try to contact him all i get is a "ebay determind you're tryign to mail somebody you arent buyign anything off" messege. Has anyone else encountered this problem? is there any simple way to work aroudn this issue other than waiting for this guy to list somethign on ebay again and mailign him then? we both had our emails hidden in our messeges thru ebay, so neither he nor i have a direct email addy to mail to. any help at all would be appreciated, and thanks in advance.

You could try using a different ebay account to see if that can get through without being blocked, at least once so you can ask the guy for his e mail address

Check if the person is selling anything on ebay. You can contact him using the 'ask seller question' route.

In the future, you may click on the seller's name and look on the left side of the screen for the contact member link

yah, no that option wasn't working... that was the problem in the first place. When i used that fucntion, i was just getting a messege telling me that i wasn't supposed to be communicating with another ebay member with whom i didnt have an active transaction.

I just signed up for Ebay and am learning the ways quickly, but I'm trying to contact a seller about an item, but I get a message when sending a message saying I've sent the maximum amount of messages. Is there a way around this? Is there a way to email the seller without using the ebay "contact the seller" option.

Thanks.

I ask for the seller's actual email.
