Hi everyone,

I've been searching around the forum and other websites but couldn't find a definitive answer (was wondering if you guys can help me).

Is it possible to dark burnish/burnt leather on the toes of a leather shoe manually? Or is not possible at all?

If not, do any of you all know where I can get something like the Scarpe Di Bianco's at a cheaper price (oxfords and/or loafers)?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Use a much darker cream and wax at the toe area.

You should burn the first pair, they look awful.

By hand is how Edward Green, Gazio & Girling, Lobb et al burnish their shoes. Of course, they start with very high-quality veg-tanned calfskin. I doubt whether all leathers can be burnished in the same way.
