So my thoughts:

I've always wanted to do an affiliate vendor challenge, where participants must wear at least two items from (different) affiliate vendors. The problems with this is that there are plenty of folks without the requisite two items and since the contest standard is focused on look rather than brand, the fits will be too diverse to really warrant meaningful comparison.

National colors would be fun, but I fear this would lead to just a lot of navy suits, white shirts, and red ties. One way around this is to allow for state colors as well. Still, this would be more challenging for some than others for reasons unrelated to clothing.

Aesthetic context--where our outfits should complement (or be complemented by) something else in our picture. This might degrade into a prop contest, which isn't necessarily a bad thing (serious internet business guys!), but I think it also opens up the possibility for some really cool pictures.

Cantachallenge. I make up the challenge rule, you question it for three days and then ignore it in your entry

.

Peacock. It's been a while since one of these has been done, right?

Contextless challenge. Entries should be of the clothes only (laid out so that we can see the combination). This gives an unfair advantage to those of us with dummies, and the pictures may end up really boring, but as a challenge, this could be pretty interesting (it removes fit, photography, and body type from the challenge, so we'd focus on texture and color when voting).

I'm not exactly inclined to post my trouser-less looks on the internet. Those are reserved for more, shall we say intimate, company... :)

With an attitude like that, you could run for mayor. (at least in NYC)
