+1 like those pants cut in particular.

Looks really nice. Nice lines. Minimal but not cold.

Dunno, to me the Helmut Lang and Yohji references are strong but the Raf ones are minor and mostly found in embellishments on outerwear. Maybe it is a conscious gesture since he's a former assistant

I get that Raf circa 2000 vibe, more so in the FW12 collection.

edit: just had a look at fw12 turns out it's just 1-2 looks that stuck out I guess, yeah overall more Helmut than Raf

TheCorner now stocking Yang Li (Men & Women's) - small selection so far though, also Ssense now stocking Women's collection.
Lots of new stockists this season icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

Turns out a tiny store 10 mins from me stocks Yang Li womens. Completely surprised since I'm in the suburbs and fashion is basically nonexistent here.

i dunno, i still get a raf vibe. specifically 2005 raf. i can see yohji too, but the austerity of it reads like raf and helmut. but either way, it's definitely kind of a jumble of all those influences. actually i would say the big weakness of the line so far is that it can read as a little derivative. not sure where yang li himself is in all of it. but i haven't seen anything up close yet. maybe the construction and all the double facing fabrics do the job. might also just be a matter of him maturing. the guy is like 25...

looks like the back of the women's leather jacket may lace like a corset. can't be certain if that detail is on the jacket or what's underneath, but I think it's the jacket.

It does;

It's weird that the women's stuff all comes with those laces, whilst the men's - which still has the little loop details through which the laces are intended to be threaded - seemingly doesn't.

oh right, forgot this stuff was in stores now. could've just looked at detail shots online. not sure i like the red laces (or the fact that they're elastic) on the black jacket, but i like the idea a lot.

edit: just looked around a little at webshops. not really feeling the pullover bombers for women. looks awkward. like all the men's stuff pretty much though.

fall 2013 was shown in march, roughly corresponding with NY fashion week even though it was shown in Paris. wonder if that means we can expect spring 2014 in the next week or so
