In a majority of cases, I think that "groupthink" is misused and slung around as a pejorative to attack positions held by the majority of people on here without having to actually grapple with the majority's argument on the merits. I do think there are some people who simply regurgitate generally held SF opinions without understanding them, but that's not unique to SF or clothes; it happens anytime there is a general consensus on a certain point. I'm not denying that there are examples of groupthink here but the term is way overused.
