How wide is too wide for a tie to the wearer? Just realized the BIGI CRAVATTE is 9cm and I already feel like my Drake's 8cm is too wide. I find 3cm optimal

FWIW here is a snapshot of the event in the burgundy Drake's grenadine

Couple of thoughts :
(1) it's tied a little too long IMO (see buttoned pic) and that attracts the eye more than the width itself (i.e. "too much tie here")
(2) ditto to unbelragazzo's comment on collar height, would add also collar points could be a little longer and lapels could be a little wider if you're going for a classic look
(3) overall I think the outfit is very well put together and you look great.

How much are those Merolla gloves expected to retail at?
I am also interested. I have been looking for dark brown peccary glove.

Pricing not 100% calculated yet but under $300 for peccary and under $275 for carpincho.

We're getting black, brown, cork and navy for peccary; dark brown, tobacco and grey for carpincho. Also brown and grey roe deer gloves. All are unlined.

We try to buy products from each maker that exhibits their strong points and where they excel. Just like we are not buying shirts from Inis Meain or sunglasses from Drake's... we are getting peccary and carpincho gloves from those who are the best at making them.

toasty, plus one to greg and unbel, though i think yours hands behind the back are pushing the jacket out, and otherwise the collar points would probably fall under the lapels quite nicely.

a very nice look indeed.

It's way too wide. I'll take it off your hands though. I'll give you my address. :satisfied:
