I know the returns are free, but I would hate to waste shipping costs for NMWA because I didn't do my diligence. I'm 5'9 175-180 with 32"/33" waist. Typically a 52 EU as well.

For what it's worth, here's Edouard in the 48R, 50R and 52R. He claims he has the same stats as you but he typically wears 50 so probably some difference in chest size there

for the record/to help with these sizing shenanigans, I am 5'9", 172-174 (when it's dry out...)

I think the shoulder line looks better on the 50, and once the waist is nipped a bit the fuller chest will give the garment a lot of nice, soft shape.
