I know the returns are free, but I would hate to waste shipping costs for NMWA because I didn't do my diligence. I'm 5'9 175-180 with 32"/33" waist. Typically a 52 EU as well.

For what it's worth, here's Edouard in the 48R, 50R and 52R. He claims he has the same stats as you but he typically wears 50 so probably some difference in chest size there

I'm on the fence about placketless BDs but that looks really nice.

I actually didn't even realized it was placketless until I got it. I'm fine with this as well, thought it's not the usual for me.

I think the shoulder line looks better on the 50, and once the waist is nipped a bit the fuller chest will give the garment a lot of nice, soft shape.

Vents are opening up and sleeves divoting on 48. If you like the shrunken jacket look, then you might dig it, but 50 is a nice classic fit.
