I'm going to be honest : I don't even know what people mean by pre-order...  We're making our selection and ordering stock, like a regular store.  We're not an agent or proxy.

Finally got my Rotas back from the tailor.  For me, great fitting pant.  Looking forward to S/S collection.

@gdl203 I would love to see some Rotas with side tab or adjusters on the dressier trousers.  I may be alone, but I easily fluctuate +/- 5lbs making side adjusters/tabs a cleaner look compared to synching with a belt.

We can do anything with Rota on a MTO basis (even MTM with slight measurement tweaks if needed).

Haha next thing your going to tell me your paying for cable TV. Not sure why I thought that was a possibility but glad to hear your just making a straight up buy.

I know the S/S 14 stock isn't ready yet, but kopping waits for no one. I've been looking for a (very) light summer jacket/shirt-jacket that's wearable even in hot, humid weather (30+ Celsius).

I'm eyeing this safari jacket right now.

Should I:

1) Kop it.
2) Not kop it 'cause you've something much more awesome coming up.
3) Not kop it 'cause it's no good and I'm too stupid to tell.
4) Kop it and kop your awesome wares when they are ready.

I'm just glad In Stitches and Asian Afro aren't my size so I will have a fighting chance to snag some of the new S/S merchandise when it arrives. Frankly I'm in no rush for the roll out as I've spent so much recently I need time to restore some funds. But I am looking forward to see what interesting things Greg has in store for us.

I could move up a size sometimes, you know. I didn't do that for the LBM coat because its sleeves didn't allow much shortening. That safari jacket I'm looking at is small in the shoulders for me, too. Actually, a lot of the shirts, coats and jackets NMWA sells are small in the shoulders for me.

What I'm saying is, you never know when we're going after the same size. smile.gif

Lbm in hopsack navy

Took this hours before someone dropped a beer on it. Took it to the dry cleaner this morning. This is my favorite jacket I own, praying it comes out fine.

1 or 4.  It's not my thing but I wouldn't go as far as 3...

I picked up an Inis Meain sweater during the sale and really love it (brown birdseye). I am ready for more when they hit. I think that the medium size works for me in the body (I'm a 40R), but I find that the sleeves are just slightly too short.

Greg, I think I recall you posting a safe method of stretching out a sweater, so I thought I'd ask about that again. Is this really safe with a quality knit? I need one inch at most, maybe not even that much.

Probably because a few of the staple stockists offer limited pre-orders at discount to existing customers etc. It's likely a huge pain in the ass though.

Yes, it is very safe (if you're careful) and also the way people/cleaners revert a shrunk sweater back to its original size.  You need to soak it in cold water, lay it flat on a towel, press the excess water out (don't wring), and then gently stretch the area you need to stretch (in multiple small sections rather than pull both ends of a panel).  Then leave it on the towel to dry flat.

Sounds like heaven for a retailer - sell stuff forward without taking any inventory risk?
