In the DBs I have a preference for the camel and blue ones. The camel is a very vibrant color though - not for everyone of course...

can someone give me a closer color reference for this one

spec'd as taupe but comes across as green / grey on screen

Any plans on an orange casentino?

That's all we'll have for this season. Unlikely that we'll restock either.

Fwiw, the bright camel is in the orangey side.

Questions vis-a-vis the LBM Casentino coats.

I am thinking hard about the Camel one. How do you think this would dress down? I feel like this can be worn as a business casual jacket, but I guess it is hard to tell without actually trying one one. The single breasted model looks like it is definitely more on the casual side of things, but it is difficult to tell.

Also, do you recommend sizing up? I am regularly around a 42R, but I am definitely a pretty athletic shaped person.

Nuke, I think the casentino's are made for dressing down. If that's what your looking for, I think either version could be worn that way easily.

That is just what I thought might be the case! I am going to give it a couple days, and then I may jump on it. It is just such an interesting coat.

I may have to pick it up before somebody else does. Thanks for the thoughts thought stitchy! I don't know if I am ready for anything DB (living in small town Louisiana, I don't want to garner too many strange looks :)), but the single breasted Casentino looks delicious.

Lafayette, LA, although I am fairly frequently in Houston.

How warm does the Casentino wool overcoat wear? 560 grams = 19.75 ounces. That sounds substantial enough for winter in most places, yes?

Yes, should be quite warm. The treatment of the wool that creates the little curls on the surface was originally designed to make the cloth warmer and more water resistant.
