@Murlsquirl looking good! I would go with a different belt if you are going to wear those shoes. Personally, I would prefer your double monks with this outfit.

Thanks, just thought I'd mix it up a bit. I am double monkless at the moment, they were sold. I agree it would look good though.

Yeah, Im an IM size L and I needed an XL in the Larry Ferri. I mean, I could fit the L, but it was a bit form fitting and there was no way I could wear it over anything but an undershirt.

Ah. that makes sense.

Thanks!

Trifecta right there, Patrick. Or hat trick, for those hockey fans among us.

I understand that among devotees of certain forms of popular culture, the term "threesome" is popular.

Great fit pictures, Patrick R!

Thanks, gents. A threesome got me in trouble once before (many moons ago), so I'll stick with hat trick (also because I'm a Blawkhawks fan and it rhymes with my name).

I left off the Gray cashmere cable sweater because I don't have a full shot of it, but that sweater is probably the best of the bunch. I should get a shot of it and a better one of the Esemplare.

This is funny, BTW. :)

My OS sizing adventures aren't likely to be too helpful, but here goes:
I am generally a size US 40. 50L in the one Formosa jacket I have and I bought the 52 in the Eidos field jacket.

Then for OS, I have the Alpha jersey in L, which I'd guess is my size. That's pretty fully cut and I'd even call the sleeves long for me. However, the multitweed blazer and quilted wool blazer I have are in 42 (which I'd consider one size up for me). These are both pretty cropped even at that size, so shorter bodies and shorter arms. So it all depends on which one the Arrow follows. I do agree that looks like a great piece and for the sale price it's got to be a no brainer.

Appreciate the effort FC. Perhaps les messieurs can fill in the blanks here when they return from their gallic misadventures. Hell, at least they're not stuck in Newark.
Or as Hugh Cornwell would put it:
I can think of a lot worse places to be
Like down in the streets
Or down in the sewer
Or even on the end of a skewer

So i bought the Robert Geller Canadian Coat and received it today. I really want to like this thing: it fits just right in the shoulders, with room for a shirt and light layer underneath, the fabric is nice, and I like the styling.

But I can't get over the fit below the shoulders. It seems to be cut like a circle, as if it is meant for somebody with a huge potbelly or enormous hips. Even in the third photo below, which is the most flattering, you can see the pronounced flare below my elbows.

(Apologies for the terrible photos. Believe it or not these were the best after two cameras, two positions and two types of lighting!)

I feel a bit like this guy:

So, any advice here? Is this just not cut right for me, and should be sent to B&S post-haste? Is tailoring possible? Or is the egg look in for 2015?

You're not standing naturally in any of those pictures so it's hard to see how it really drapes, but in theory I think it's an interesting silhouette, if you can embrace it.
