I was looking at some of the Vass F- Lasted shoes on sale and checked out the sizing chart and video on how the shoes were measured and had a question. The shoes are measured externally so I wondered how that translated to the internal measurements. I am an 11.5 U.S(11 1/8" or 28.3 cm. long) and 4"(10.3 cm.) wide and tapering down from there,so just barely a D width...I also have a low instep.
I've read the Vass F last thread and the last poster said that he is a solid 11(no mention of width) and wears a 43.5. I think anything bigger than that might be too big for me.
How much extra space is ideal at the length and width for a stable, firm fit on a Vass shoe.
I realize that shoe sizing depends on different foot measurements. I do not have any other shoes to give comparisons with except I have a pair of 11D C&J Coniston boots on a 325 last and they fit well with medium socks and 11.5/10.5Viberg boots on a 1035 last and they fit perfectly.....I apologize if my questions are elementary and appreciate any insight anyone could give me.
Thanks.
