Sounds to me like you're a Large, not Medium

I don't wear anything under the tunic - the Linen fabric is so soft and cooling I find...

Knitwear sleeves can be stretched.   Cold soak, flat on a table/surface, very gently stretching with both hands down, let dry flat on a towel.   Never stretch the seams, don't pull too hard.

I have long arms for my size, and I've stretched sleeves of maybe 1/3 of my sweaters over the years

Wow, close. I'm a 5 in SS, 4 ts(s) jacket and L in SDC.

Can double check the sizes and fits if that would be helpful. Pretty sure I have a large in the zip-up and medium in the pullover crew. Both fit fine, it's just a question of how much slouch you want, etc. I think you're probably a M (if I'm right that my pullover is a M that's probably a pretty good comparison).
Based solely on my own aesthetic preferences I'll probably lean M on this. In pullovers, especially given the wider neck and the fact that I'm not particularly buff in the shoulders and chest, I have an irrationally fear that if I go with a medium it'll feel just a bit too drapey and I'll be pulling at it all the time like one of those girls I went to high school with who wore sweatshirts with the collar cut out.

Twinsies except the waist. I ain't buff in the shoulders either. A drapey, down the deltoids shoulder seam is a bad look.

I guess I'm most curious about the chest and waist measurement of a medium. I don't like a tight fit. Llike a 40-41 chest would be good.

Probably a medium is best. The smaller the neck opening the better.

I wish the brown #3 came with white stitch instead of mustard. A more rugged look methinks.

Thanks guys!

Haven't washed one yet I don't think...but when I do, I'll probably do it by hand.

Good info and I've done as much over the years too. I'll note that I've gotten more out of it with wools and, to some extent, cotton, but very little with linen - it just doesn't seem to hold the stretch. Granted there's probably some linens that do, I just haven't come across any.

Given that it's a no returns (which is fair) I'll be sitting it out and admiring. But, damn, if they don't look great.

Do you mean as an outside layer wearing a T shirt underneath?

Just clarifying.

Got it!

Speaking of Baller, anyone watching The Rock on Ballers on Showtime? Pretty good show.

Let's get him in an XXXL Tunic.

If my gf wants one, could I order XS? Sorry if it's been asked - out of the country with little connection to first world/internet/email

I asked Tarlac de Blacam for an explanation on this new technique they developed, and how they achieve the wave effect. I'm not going to paraphrase his reply, so here it is:

"On the styles in the wave pattern we are creating a web on the back of the knitted panels. The web is constructed with stretch linen yarn, usually in a contrast colour, which is attached by a tuck stitch to the plain linen panel creating a small bubble or “wave” and also little random “white-tops” on the front of the panel.

It took bit of thought and technical know-how. But I am very pleased with the result. In the right colours it looks just like the sea we are looking out at these days where the sea stays relatively calm and we get just the small waves whipped up by the breeze."

Unfortunately, we've had requests for size XS before and were always told no. They don't develop men's styles grading smaller than small. They have a women collection too, but there styles are different

Tuesday (we always try to give one week for pre-orders)

Will you be stocking linen tunics again or is this our only chance to get one? I mean the solid colors as well, not necessarily with the wave effect
