wow thanks guys! ok this is going to sound bizarro but i just tried it on again and it's way too tight. not sure how just 2 hours makes that much of a difference but i'm definitely feeling it bind up a lot more in the armholes and shoulders. i guess i truly am a 52—or i gained some significant muscle mass this morning lol.

also the pants here are the bigger problem as far as this suit goes. seat, waist, hips and crotch are all pulling like crazy. i'd have to let it out in the crotch, seat and waist at least (to say nothing of whether that would fix the hips). not to mention i have no use for a fresco navy suit.

i ordered a whole bunch of stuff—brands i've wanted to try for a while (and possibly get in on preorders on) but which i had no reference for sizing. inglese, rota, formosa and this. didn't want to take advantage of greg too much on his shipping policy so i waited until the eidos drop to combine it all into one gigantic order. i only did the fresco suit bc i wanted to see how the pants fit in addition to the jacket, not to mention just to see fresco (never handled it before). same on rota (interested in the fawn flannel in addition to how they fit). same on formosa (interested in fit and fabric—tobacco linen). inglese was more of just a fit thing.

Did the shoulders seem noticeably wider than past iterations to you (or maybe this was your first time ordering in that size?)? I noticed this season's shoulder measurement went up a touch.

Looks great btw -- too bad it didn't work out.

Measurements look the same to me..52 at 18.9".

If you were a 52 before, I don't know how you'd be a 50 now. I don't think the NMWA cut/style would result in a whole size difference, even if there were slight variances.

Yup, even when you see the full collection it's nearly entirely navy and cream.

I have seen one piece in black! But yeah in general I appreciate the devotion to navy and colors that complement it. Now if you guys are going to re-up robe coats in the fall....

Entirely possible that I'm looking at something incorrectly, but for example, I'm seeing the shoulder on a 50 in the Minnis Fresco from above listed at 18.5:

And on this suit from last season listed at 18.3:

Nah it wasn't about whether the cut changed, but rather if I were in between and could stand to size down instead of up.

This could be a lot of things, up to something as simple as them being measured by two different people. Keep in mind that you're talking about a difference of 1/10 of an inch on each shoulder

It's the little things wink.gif -- just gauging whether it seemed like anything had changed up there. That answers that though, thanks.

I just unboxed my GI polo pre-order. This project turned out even better than I anticipated. They are really wonderfully done, and I will definitely be ordering more colors when the stock is up on the site. I'm sure better photos will be available soon (or maybe are available already?), but here's a quick peek at the collars, which I think look great:

Shirts from Document seem oversized, is that part of the design and appeal?
