If a jacket is described as "full canvas construction" and also says "Unlined jacket" - where does the canvas go?

Shout out to the No Man crew for hosting the Trunk Show and allowing me to rummage through the shop. Some really nice stuff on hand and got dialed into sizing on some stuff without burning a bunch of shipping. Super impressed with Blue Blue Japan which I had not seen in person before.

Pretty much...the chest and up into the shoulders. It's unlined so you will be able to see the canvas. The lining doesn't do anything to attach the canvas to the fabric....if that's what you were thinking, Sood.

I would've pre-ordered the solaro suit and cream dinner jacket if I could've! :(

I understand why it happened but a heads up would've been nice! :(

Sorry guys but we have to make buying decisions based on what the demand is.  Reality is that we have virtually every sz 54 left on the rack when the sale starts (sell-through close to zero) and then again after weeks of markdowns (we still have 54s that have been marked down and then with a kicker discount, and they're still here)

So, we now consider this as a size that doesn't need to be stocked (we lose money with absolute certainty if we do otherwise) and can be pre-ordered instead (if Eidos allows it)

Unlined means that the fronts of the jacket are self-lined inside and the back is unlined.  The back doesn't contain any canvas but the fronts obviously do.

Here is what the canvas looks like on a full canvas jacket

When a jacket is "unlined", these parts are covered with same cloth - like this :

Also - Just a heads up for you guys. The Solaro quality that NMWA has (exclusively I might add) is made by Smith Woolens. Its the real deal.

The reddish color on the Solaro looks much more pronounced in the product photos than in previous shots I've seen. Would you say the product shots are more true to color?

That's what real solaro looks like. If you google Solaro and the names Matteo Marzotto, Gianni Castiglioni, Lapo Elkann you can see what it looks like.

Whoa. Mind blown. Funny, I never realized that that's what the fabric looks like up close to achieve the overall effect.
