Got one for myself too. Color is gorgeous

It is up there with:

  • Valstar linen safari jacket
  • Valstar twill wool field coat
  • Norwegian Rain single breasted coat
  • Niche army green utility shirt jacket
  • La Portenga Fat Carter briefcase
  • Esemplare electric blue Humphrey reverse seam crewneck sweater

Rota MTO allows for zipper front right? And it sounds like a reverse pleat is available.

I thought the pairs online were with reverse pleats forward pleats. I guess the OP does not like those. I've seen a few photos online with a reverse pleat that looks nice, like the dudes from The Armoury.

Also, will there be Sal trousers for SS16 or pants similar to this? (This pair has the forward pleats.) Agh, I was thinking about the pre-order... it is the Lorenzo pants that have the forward pleats.

FWIW I prefer the look of the forward pleat.

Pretty sure I like forward for single pleats and reverse for double, though I'm not in love with double pleats.

@PCK1

What style are you thinking? And am I correct that pleats add more fabric and thus make the pants feel looser?

IDK about 'looser' but it gives room for mobility

Interesting. Are there any products which have been surprisingly successful?

I recently received a note that said "questionable choice on this one...not sure what you were thinking" but I still love it.

I generally like double pleats especially on suits. Though in some instances I will go for single pleats on odd trousers. I don't ever buy trousers without pleats...though I must admit I have difficulty finding off the rack trousers I like so I only commission bespoke trousers.

I like pleats and I got the pleated Rota. If one pays attention to achieve a coherent look, it can look very elegant and sophisticated. But is is also very easy to f**k it up and end up elder suburban dad...

Last of the Schneider is up, including two very easy wearing spring/summer trousers

I pre-ordered the linen/cotton blend Schneider pants and they are awesome. Might end up with the other ones as well before it's all said and done.

My fear of pleated trousers is that my pants tend to slide down on my waist and I am hiking them back up. In flat front that's ok but in pleated it gives you the impression that your pants are too tight. Maybe one day I'll give them a go with some braces. I do like the look however of a single pleat that isn't pegged

All spring summer Rota are now up online, including limited restocks of 5 styles from last summer (two grey lightweight wool, two cotton/linen and the oatmeal linen)

We've already received them - three styles - all without arctic liner of course, but all with zippers to accommodate optional liner for people who want to wear them through seasons.

We're shooting them today and hope to have them online next week.

No double breasted though
