I'm having a wide stripe chalk from the LL Fox flannel being made up as a DB. The stripe is wide but subtle. It's an alternative to the more typical loud bright chalkstripes.

Not to totally derail the thread, but who are you having make it up?

Interesting, that should be a baller suit. I love chalkstripes, but being 26 years old, and looking like I am 22, I can't help but feel I look a little silly.

Maybe if you were doing it as a DB, but as long as you are serious when you're wearing it. The chalk isn't super loud or bright, its just an accent.

This is the 0.75" Fox, right? To my eye, it's neither so wide as to be costumey nor so narrow as to be dandyish. Maybe this one just needs to percolate for a while.

That first picture is absolutely glorious, and I think it could be worn in all except the most conservative of environments. Is that the .75" fox? Or is it just something similar.

I've still not come around on a stripe suit for myself, I've just never seen one that was quite right. I never thought much about my reasons why until I read this - it's exactly what my hesitations have been; it's like you read my mind for me. If this isn't the perfect middle-of-the-road stripes, it's at least straddling costume'y and dandy'ish well enough for me to seriously consider; as in for the first time "I can see myself in those stripes"
