I'd be much more likely to order a second one if I was able to try on the S/S one I pre-ordered first.

I already know my size, so it doesnt matter to me. But I'd like to see the swatches either way so I can plan//avoid making redundant purchases color-wise

I'm an impatient person, so I'd vote not to delay orders. But it's not a dispositive issue for me, just a preference.

still at work so will def need to compare measurements with shirts at home compared to current inglese shirts, but is there a cheat sheet on how the inglese numbers equate to typical american xs, s, m, etc or to a 15/33 sizing? never had or tried on inglese before

I think conventional wisdom would say a US 15 translates into a 38 or so EU. But that's pretty loose (no pun intended), since US shirts tend to be sized just by neck and sleeve size, with huge variations in the chest and shoulders. (NMWA site does have neck and sleeve measurements posted, so that should give you a point of comparison.) But I'd definitely get a chest measurement (knowing your suit coat size should get you close) and shoulder measurement. Sleeve length is a relatively easy fix. Shoulder width not so much.

For what it's worth, I take a 40 in Inglese. In standard US dress shirt sizing I generally take a 15.75/36; in casual shirt sizes I'm like a M/L. I know you have some WvG shirts, so as another data point I wear a large before dinner (with monkey arms) or medium after dinner in those.

It's around $750 this year, so I just wanted to put a feeler out if there is demand for something like this still. We saw a good number of robe coats for next F/W, from quite a variety of brands, but this was easily the best looking one. Unfortunately, it's also the most expensive.

So what do you guys think - is this something you want to see, or is the era of the robe coat over before it truly began?

Robe coat is awesome, in case anyone is wondering.

Thanks! It's certainly not as yellow as the NMWA pics make it out to be

Love the texture of that Carnet linen. I'll probably get a navy blazer suit one day

Whoa, that tan linen looks great. Nice pick.

Monster GI pre-order placed. I'm loving those fall selections.

Now to ponder Rota corduroy choices...
