@gdl203 - The Donegal chambray in pre-orders, how will it compare to the current donegal chambray?

Link for the white end-on-end seems not to be working.

Is the scale of the G&R brown and green check roughly the same as that of the sample shirt shown in the link? Or put a better way, how big is that swatch?

Yes, they will be on the same pattern

This one includes specks of orange, green and blue (vs.  just blue and white in the current one).  Both are really nice and tasteful (not a garish donegal effect). The FW16 will also be buttoned collar instead of spread.

No, it's bigger in scale than that gingham.  To give an idea of scale, the swatch is about 2.5" wide or so.

This isn't an official pre-order, but I wanted to do an interest check on next year's version of Document's robe coat. This time around it's made of a different type of wool, and is entirely handmade - and finished quite nicely - but all of this comes at a price.

It's around $750 this year, so I just wanted to put a feeler out if there is demand for something like this still. We saw a good number of robe coats for next F/W, from quite a variety of brands, but this was easily the best looking one. Unfortunately, it's also the most expensive.

So what do you guys think - is this something you want to see, or is the era of the robe coat over before it truly began?
