Damn... Raphael in black

Might have to grab Garment Dyed Geller. Grey or black...

@conceptual 4est those look good on you but would you/will you end up ordering your regular size in these jackets?

Any pics of the yellow/ochre?

Click the link. The puffer cape is the ochre colour.

The Raphael looks great in Taupe. A couple of questions - (i) is the interior of the body lined with anything and (ii) for the horizontal stitching near the waistline, is that decorative, or is there something there that would allow you to cinch the waist?

Yes, I would order a 46, my usual size (and Geller size) in all 3 of these.

As for the yellow/ochre, it can be seen in the background of this pic, just on a different style. I think the color is more accurate on our showroom photo than the runway one, but between the two, you can get a sense of what it's all about.

C4est - are any of these bigger/roomier than the others? Do they fit pretty comparatively to the Emile bomber? Leaning towards taupe Raphael rn.

Or that damn shearling.

I got it, and the boiled wool is a fantastic, heavy substantial material with great fuzzy texture. Overall, because of the thickness of the wool, it has a structured fit and the collar stands up great (doesn't flop around like the field jacket collar). And I love the huge pockets. You can throw a bunch of stuff in there, and because of the weight of material, the pockets don't bulge noticeably. Brown vs. navy, I think is a personal choice in terms of what you currently have. Both are fairly versatile, but when I wear blue jeans or casual pants, I like the contrast of the brown. I already have a lot of navy sportcoats and outerwear (like the FJ) as it is.

No, just more of the same fabric as the body - you can see that in the pic where I'm wearing it unzipped. As for the stitching, I don't recall if there is a drawstring or not, but I don't believe there is. I think it's just stitched that way.

The Raphael is the roomiest of the three, and I wouldn't say that any of them are similar to the Emile, which is just bigger and more substantial overall.  Aside from the Raphael, they are closer to something like the Sebastian. You can see how the three of them fit me (sadly one size two big in all cases) and how they sort of fit the model in the pictures posted.

I wear a 50R in both of those, and I have never tried a NMWA Eidos jacket. I want to snag something in the pre-order BAD, though.

Any one have any experience with either of these cuts?

Is the strap on the Massimo stitched to the side, or removable? Wondering where it hangs if  unused, and if it is lined.

Thanks!

@conceptual 4est,@gdl203

Any plans of receiving Luigi Bianci Mantova Spring/Summer jackets from their latest collection?

I am specifically interested in this field jacket from LBM

Does anyone know how the Eidos HJ's boiled wool compares to the boiled wool Oliver Spencer jacket from a few years ago? Is it much heavier or similar?

@gdl203 Greg, for the Hunting Jacket, is it accurate to assume the heavier the listed weight of the material, the warmer it is?

It's about the same weight, maybe a little less dense/heavy than the OS one.
