Hey Greg - Rota pre-orders are scheduled to arrive in January, and Inglese polos in February right? (forget what the delivery eta/production timelines were)

Totally get it, Kyle, and would not suggest otherwise. I was just making a joke, premised on the excellent value we get for our money.

Put differently, since as a U.S. customer I don't share our Canadian friends' pain, I felt free to make light of it.
(But really Canada/ovesreas guys, that sucks, eh?)

I just wanted to clear this up so we can be transparent to any foreign customers that might be reading this.

So if we used the SF10 code we should be paying duty on the discounted price correct? Just want to make sure.

haha yeah I thought you were just being a sly little pedant, but since it's a sensitive subject I wanted to make sure it was clear regardless.

Yes, if you place an order with the SF10 (or any) code we will manually change the declared value line by line in the customs form.

For big orders, I'm just going to order to CBI now - it's rare that I have to pay duty when crossing back - so you should be only paying for the HST.  Depending on the size of the order, it makes it worth it.  Having said all that what sucks is the CAD to USD conversion rate...

I've gotten too lazy to drive up there but this is true. No duties for the most time when using CBI and declaring the item with CBSA. Just HST.

Where do you have to go to pick up the item in this case?

Were your packages opened for inspection by Canada Customs? I'm just wondering how they knew that the country of origin/manufacture was a non-NAFTA country and thus subject to duties/customs.

I only got hit with HST this time.

i was thinking about going with 48R for the formosa pre-order. I have the tobacco linen in 48R, but reading the thread it seems that some went with 50R...Here is what the tobacco linen fit looks like. I feel comfortable in it.

Should I size up to 50R?

Hard to tell based on one pic from a weird angle, but it looks good to me - you've got some drape in the chest and the shoulders seem to fit well. Does it feel comfortable or does it feel tight?

Thanks Unbel. That helps

It feels comfortable; and compared to my other sportscoats Formosa doesn't seem to restrict my range of motion.

I would stick with the 48 then. If anything, I think Formosa runs a little big, so if you're usually a 48, there's no reason to go to a 50 on Formosa. And your picture doesn't show any of the typical signs of a jacket being too tight - lapels bowing, x-shaped creases around the button, quarters splayed open, etc...

I find this to be so true. It's like you don't even know you have the jacket on.
