I can see what you guys mean by excessive length. The rest of the fit looks OK for slouchy.

Just looked at specs, that does not look like what I imagine to be at supposedly 25-26" (s = 26 per site) unless you're super short) in length. Fit remains a mystery to me.

I'd keep it and just choose your wardrobe more carefully. I'd curl up in that knit when chilling at home in some comfy jawnz.

Gravity, especially if not caught by the hip or arse. Guessing the knit is loose and/or heavy-ish.

you think everything is short though

In the pic it looks long hence my comment about the measurement appearing off (unless angle exaggerates this).

I really liked the brown raw silk suit from eidos napoli from this spring. Unfortunately I didn't have the opportunity to buy it, so I am looking to comission something similar. Does anybody have the pictures from the NoMan website, so I could use them for inspiration? EDIT: Pics of someone wearing the suit would also be great!

Thanks.

I just measured while laying flat to compare to specs. From the top of the collar when rolled to the bottom it came is 30 inches. The only way I can get close to 25/26 inches like it says in the specs would be to measure from the base of the neck perpendicular to the shoulders. This also doesn't account for any gravity stretch when wearing a heavy knit as I did not measure while wearing.

I think if it was around 26 from the top of the collar it would probably fit pretty nicely lengthwise. I would expect some variability from specs for a hand knit piece, but 4 inches seems like a fair amount (unless my measurement method was different than specs). I don't consider myself that short and usually wear a R jacket length.

I also had a friend try on the cardigan who usually wears a size 40L or 42R jacket and it fit him nicely length wise.

How about sizing on the Niche army green shirt jacket? Would XXL fit you or is it too small for you?

Greg, when you have time, can you comment on these jackets? I saw a picture of you trying on Niche in size XL but it looked small on you, would be curious to see how XXL would fit.

Length measurements are always from the bottom of the collar. The idea of a 42R guy wearing this in XS makes me sad. It is just not how it is supposed to fit. If someone wants a slim fitting cardigan, there are places to get that. This is the opposite. It fits like a last layer - I actually don't think I've ever buttoned more than 1 or 2 buttons on mine, most of the time I wear it open.

So, folks, if this is not your jam, that's cool. But don't size down 3 sizes please

I'm 5 in ts(s) and my Niche army shirt jacket is XL. It's quite fitted but I don't think it is too small for me. XXL could work too - most definitely not too small

Thanks for the clarification and sorry for any misinformation about the measurements. Just trying to help with anyone else who had questions about the sizing who might be around my same size and considering a purchase! My eye might just not be used to the style so I'll take this into consideration for deciding whether to keep or not.

Thanks, that really is an awesome suit!

Seems very versatile, like it could easily be broken up, and be worn with anything from oxfords to sneakers (gasp), with or without a tie.
