@gdl203

Playing with the S&C crew neck idea, what's the sizing on those in M or L? Or, what would someone take who wears 40/41 Inglese? Sorry, late here and don't have much time to scan the thread backwards.

For the Port Flannel, am I right with this extrapolation?
M 44/104/86
L 46/108/88
XL 48/112/90

FWIW, M was too big on me for the S&C cashmere cable knit roll neck. I'm in between 48/50 Formosa.

A couple of pics of the cardigan for those interested in sizing:

L:

1000

XL:

1000

The XL looks great. What's your typical Inis size? Coat size?

Greg says he likes the XL better. I'm still not sure.

I also agree on the XL for you. I sized up on the MTO cardigan last winter and don't regret it. (Well at least I didn't until those special edition cardigans dropped)

Usually I have taken an L in Inis. I have one other sweater in XL that I wanted to be oversized, and it definitely is. Maybe this cardigan runs just a bit smaller than some of the other sweaters.

41" chest, usually 52L coat. Got a 5 in the GRP. 54 in Valstar. If there's a particular brand you want my size in, just ask and I will tell you if I know it.

Also note I have only a light henley tee on underneath the cardigan.

Fawn flannel Rotas in 48 arrived. They are awesome and I can't wait to wear them. Fit is comfortably slim and the extended waist closure is just an awesome touch. Off they go to get hemmed; no other work needed at this time.

That's super helpful. Sounds like we are the same size except I'm a little shorter in height. I also took the GRP in a 5. I'm going to grab the XL, since it is unlikely I'll ever wear a t-shirt underneath, and it already looks a little snug those pics of the L.

Btw, two more questions : (1) does the collar have the ability to turn up on the cardigan similar to the GRP? (2) What size do you take in the SS Figaria sweater? I tried the 6 (which is what I have in the SS Gemini), but it was a much bigger fit than expected and I'm considering going down to the 5.

S&C cashmere crewneck? I would say Medium

For Port Flannel - your extrapolation is pretty much spot on

Thanks! Was it by a lot or just a ~half size?

Sorry I can't really say or recall. It's been a hectic couple weeks for me. I do think the S would be fine for me in the cable knit though.

I did cuff the sleeves a bit on the XL Inis (as you can see in the pics if you look close), so you'll probably have to roll the cuff all the way over.

You can turn the collar up but it doesn't stay up quite as easily as the GRP. I took a 6 in the SS Merino coat but in the sweaters I've usually felt better in a 5.
