A look at the production of Barbanera shoes

@gdl203 What width are the tassel loafers? I'm a F width in Vass, Alfred Sargent, and GG but I also find that Italian factories lean toward medium to wider widths as standard.

Finding a loafer in a subtle width has been a great challenge. :embar:

We can measure the sole in your size if you'd like, but the width is very much standard/medium on all of the Barbanera shoes.  I just tried on the tasseks again and the width is very similar to my F last Vass in standard width, but with a more pronounced arch support

Same here. I believe @unbelragazzo described it best as "Jabba's musty rear end" (some paraphrasing).

This fall, we collaborated with Heschung to design a version of their best-selling boot, the Gingko, but where the contrast between bottom and shaft is textural, rather than color blocks.  The boots arrived and are on the site now - brown oiled calf on the bottom and brown suede on top.   Heschung's signature reverse-welt stitching that will keep feet dry through rain & snow.

Nice work on the Heschung!

Looking forward to checking out the Barbara.

People from warm climates, apologies for wasting your time with this post.

But we have some crazy good knitwear hitting the store later tonight from Kanata.  All hand-knit in the Vancouver Island area by local workers, traditional Cowichan and beautiful, chunky cable-rope cardigans.  The buttons look like someone just sliced a tree branch and sewed them on.   Those things weigh a ton.  The Bison one is made with single-ply natural wool (undyed) so it's a bit more fluffy and light in texture (@Synthese has tested this one)

Also, those things fit SMALL for the size.  And sizes start at 36 (which is really a US 34) all the way to 48 - so there's something for every size there
