I've been hoping to see a fit pic of the slide shirt.

Received my Heschung Genet Chukka boots today. Now that I have my size in my favorite color, I will share my enthusiasm for this shoe and brand. These are "oh-so-comfortable" and a beautiful shade of suede. With jeans, khakis, cords or even grey flannels this will become a favorite for casual and casual dress. I'm planning on making these my go-to shoes for walking around Barcelona and London in a few weeks. My last pair of Heschungs saw heavy tourist duty walking the streets and cobblestones of Rome, Florence and Paris as well as the gritty asphalt of NYC and SF. Heschung knows how to make a shoe that works in the rainy winter months as well as spring and summer. Best of all, they feel great.

Now for sizing, here is my advice. I wear a US 10.5 to a snug 11. In UK I wear a Lobb UK 10 and some UK shoes a 9.5-10.5. In Heschung I wear their size 9.5 with plenty of room to spare, but I wouldn't go smaller either.

Here is the Genet that I am wearing right now.

I have been strong so far, but it will be very difficult for me to resist getting these. They seem excellent for all the reasons you say. Fit pics might push me over the edge.

Really like these boots. Tried on at NMWA, but smallest size--7-- was too big (didn't check sizing as listed on box or in shoe at the time). Went to Heschung website, and smallest available size is listed as 6.5 UK, 41 FR. Have a pair of Malko's (I need to return) that are marked on the box 7 EURO, 7.5 US, and size 7 in the shoe. Is there any continuity here? Would size 6.5 EURO be the equivalent of 6.5 UK? If so, based on your recommendation I'd likely be a 6.5 or possibly even a 6; I don't like extra length, though need decent width in forefoot (this is a fairly wide last I believe, so that shouldn't be a problem).

Generally 7.5 US, 7/7.5 in EG 202, 7E in Lobb 8695, 9000 and 9501, and 40.5 in Vass F last. Any input?

Based on all your stats, you'd be a us 7 (eur 6.5) in most Heschung lasts. The fact that you don't like extra length is more of the issue here. Most of the Heschung lasts have a slightly elongated shape and long toe box. These may not be for you if you don't like the elongated shape.

What was the one I tried on at the shop Greg, was that the 7? If so, too big. It really felt like I could go down 1/2 size, all around.

Actually, I don't mind a little bit of extra length--see Vass F last--as long as it's snug every other way.

That's something I've been wondering about. I couldn't put my finger on it, but it seemed like there was something looong about it.

I think it looks really great actually. Obviously ymmv

Yes I believe that was US 7. On paper, based on your other shoe sizes, it should be your size. But it seems like you'd need another half size down (or thicker socks or an extra insole)

I'm a 10.5 and like the shape personally. Did you try them on?

I wasn't really making a point. Just wondering if you've tried them on or seen them in person - or if your impression of the lasts is based on photos.

Because the lasts are indeed a bit elongated. But no more than a Vass F or an EG 82, etc... I feel like we're kinda used to that type of toe shape in the high end mens shoe world.
