Hint : Inis Meain just added for a special MTO. They agreed to let us take single orders for 3 styles in a variety of color options (and of course, in your size!)

Is a vest one of the 3 style options?

As in a sleeveless sweater? No that's not an option. I don't know that IM a totally makes those.

The 3 styles are : toggled shawl collar, crewneck gansey and buttoned cardigan

Is Buttero sizing accurate at all? The measurements, while I am sure correct, seem to suggest sizing way down... thoughts?

i took 1/2 down and like wearing them with thick sox, fit is good.

At what time can we expect final and complete stock selection for FW '13 (including re-orders, MTO, etc.)?

Boots, size down one. Sneaker, don't size down.

Probably not for this MTO event but in absolute, definitely - maybe for a group MTO or special edition if there's interest.

Btw, have you handled their non-merino wools? They're rough stuff... I was initially set on getting wool (more authentic, I thought...) but after handling their bull wool, lambswool and the merino, I understood why every store buys the 90/10. It really isn't about the 10% cashmere as much as it is about the 90% merino. It feels really good.

I'm on the fence right now b/c sleeves in Small will be good but chest is an issue, and the opposite on Medium...I really like both the blue toggle shawl and the charcoal button neck (in light grey is perfect..) Thanks
Have you thought about getting an M and flipping the cuffs? That should be perfect if the body fits well but sleeves are a bit too long

Sorry if I missed the question in there. Yes 41 is a good equivalent for UK7. 41 is U last will fit a bit smaller than 41 in F or P2 lasts

Are you looking at sneakers or boots? I find sneakers to fit true to size but boots to fit 1/2 to 1 size large.

We're adding one shipment next week (EOTOTO from Japan) to the regular FW13 assortment but after that it will be simply a few restocks and then special events here and there.

I've tried on their stuff at their Pitti booth, and I think that it's all the 90/10 stuff.  I just want something in higher gauge yarn.  6 gauge lambswool would be fine for me.  I'm not married to the idea of bull wool, which can be a bit rough.  I'm looking for something comparable in weight to the heavier SNS Herning pieces.  Yeah, six gauge wool would probably do well.  I've seen their polonecks in a heavier wool, but not the shawl collar, which is what I'd want.

So no MTO pub jackets but we can pre-order one?
new to the party, but checked out the webstore earlier and really impressed with your buy. some really high quality, distinctive pieces.

do you have exclusivity with any of the vendors on these pieces? don't think I've seen most of this anywhere else

Update on the DB casentino - the upsize is good. Sleeve are the correct length, and upper body now feels comfortably snug without being tight. Shoulders are good too. Can fit SCs into sleeves. While it is not as fitted, it definitely is not a sack, maintaining a shaped silhouette. Will be keeping this one!

P.S. Henceforth I will accept all Greg's advice as gospel.

P.P.S. I will also add my voice to the chorus of approval for the packaging and service of NMWA. The quality of the goods go without saying.

That's correct. Pre-orders are done by email (pleasr do not send PM, that's too hard to keeps track off) at greg@nomanwalksalone.com on a first come first serve basis. Please use "Pre-order Inis Meain" in your subject line. Thanks

Thanks !

Most of what we do is place custom orders where we pick a style, fabric or leather, and customize all details. Many other stores would slap a "A x B" or "A exclusively for B" tag on the products, and makers are happy to do that for you, but so far I've found that approach a little silly. If that has value for our customers, I'll be happy to change my mind and revisit that.

Well, I see all the stuff here, I try everything on so I can at least compare sizing between brands and inform customers on that. After that, fit preferences come into play (as discussed previously with overcoats). I'm not there to mislead anyone so, yeah, listen to my advice people ! smile.gif
