Are the Formosa suits "final sale"? I did not see a message in red print, but I just wanted to confirm.
I know they are fantastic and I'm dying to try one, but I'm just unsure of the fit even after several measurements. Those of you that own one say it fits slightly narrow, correct ?

slightly narrow is good description. but im a big fat ***** and they still work for me!

Anybody who owns Cantarelli and Formosa, did you go one or two sizes up? Measurements on the site make me think 52 Cantarelli would fit best, but I am a 48 Formosa jacket.

I own a F/W Cantarelli, and have spent a lot of time at NMWA trying on the S/S Cantarelli and Formosa. I'm a slim 40R (probably a true 39R), and the Cantarelli 50R is as close to a perfect fit OTR as there is, particularly the S/S version with the unpadded (or minimally padded) shoulder. The Formosa 50R would require a lot more tailoring for me. I thought about the Formosa 48R, but in the end, it's just a bit too small all around.

Thanks for the feedback on Cantarelli. I have passed on the 52. If anyone who bought the Green & copper herringbone linen sport coat in 50R is having second thoughts, I will take it off your hands.

Question for Robinson Les Bains Oxford Long swimsuit owners: Did you size up? I generally wear a 34 pant, and appear to be on the border between M and L. A few sites on the web have suggested sizing up if between sizes.

Please tell me you will be carrying that red speckled/marled knit from Gray that was in Synth's writeup? Reminds me of the Jil knit from last year (but hopefully with better proportions).

I suggest you measure your waist or some other well fitting trews you have. The RLB true sizing for L is 90cm or 35.4", it fits pretty narrow in seat and sits low on the hip. An elastic strap with snap buttons allows to tighten the waist a bit. Not sure how much smaller an M is but believe you can check for size charts on their own website.

I meant to hit quote, not the thumbs button. Go with large, they fit pretty slim in the thigh and bum.

Brick red Rotas arrived and are off to get hemmed. Construction and all look pretty good (not surprisingly). I was concerned about the rise, which is a bit lower than I tend to prefer, but I don't think I mind the rise on the Rotas for a more casual trouser.

Time to celebrate the forum being back in operation!

Alright, well, per Stitchy's recommendation, I decided to go outside and actually take some slightly better pictures. Found an apartment complex near work at lunch, and decided to invade it :D. Only got caught by a couple of kids...

They are still pretty abhorrent, but I guess they are getting better.

We have brown linen Formosa x Inglese butcher stripe. Some Vass on the bottom, but they are U last. Eek.

I am hoping to show that the suit moves very nicely. It looks very natural when moving, which is always more challenging than a typical robo-pose..

I wish I knew how to take pictures.

I do love the cut though. I thought these pictures highlighted that.

And I am a very... hip-py person. This suit definitely gives me a less pear-like shape

Action shot does look very good. Continue to be impressed with how lively Formosa suits look.

And the suit does have a nice balance on you. Extended shoulder sounds and looks like it suits you.
