I have a bunch of Brooks sweaters. Some of the older stuff used to be made in Scotland, and then for a while in Hong Kong, but a lot of stuff has moved to China now (though I think some remains in HK). Not that I believe that MIC stuff is terrible, but in the case of Brooks' knits, it's more true than not. Stuff pills and stretches out easily, including the stuff they try to "up sell," like their Saxxon line.
Obviously, these two brands differ in price, and people will have to find what's right for their budgets. I genuinely haven't come across a knitwear brand that's better than Inis Meain though. Some that are just as nice in their own regard, but in the kind of knitwear that Inis Meain makes, the quality is really, really nice. Brooks honestly doesn't compare, quality wise.
Zissou had a cream version of that rollneck a few years ago. I thought it looked really nice.
^Yeah, good fit, kvc, but a word of advice: If you close your closet doors and crop out the rest of your room, your photos would be so much better. Also, it looks like you are a college student. You better not be buying all this Junya with student loans or we're gonna kick your ass (2).

Edit: Just saw that the BB Saxxon sweater is selling for $500. I forgot how much they charge for those things. I have two of their Saxxon sweaters. The idea that they'd charge that much for these things is kind of crazy. FWIW, I'm selling mine on eBay in the next month.
RRL is considerably better than Brooks brothers, if you like that rugged look.
That said, Inis Meain is on a different level. Every year, at Pitti (only the winter one, I make a point to not travel to Italy during the summer), I go to the Inis Meain booth. Now, you may or may not have realized, but we haven't done a feature on them for at least a year. I just go because I like the sweaters, and I've tried on a few, under the watchful, and at least slightly, disapproving eye, of either an older Irish gent, or a younger, pretty, Irish woman. I never remember their names. They also have some decent sportswear, the knitwear is where their strength lies.
The knitting patterns are very intricate, and really, quite beautiful apart from being a beautiful garment. I've tried on that toggle shawl collar sweater at least 3 times now. Still haven't gotten one. If I do win that $1K prize, it will probably be on my shortlist of things to take from Greg.
