Asian Afro - I unfortunately cannot really compare those since I don't have any first hand experience with the Brooks Brothers. I don't know where it's made, I don't know what wool it's made of... The Inis Meain is still made in a very artisanal way by local knitters on the island and the cable and crooked sickle patterns are part of the DNA of the Aran islands. Also, even though the style is that of a fairly rugged fisherman sweater, the ones we commissioned are not made of scratchy wool like their ancestor. The yarn is 90% merino + 10% cashmere and is very soft.
Pricing will be pretty close to that Brooks Brothers sweater you linked to , after SF discount.
