Denim question: are Big Johns low-rise, or medium-to-normal rise? Do you have measurements? (My waist size is 30".)

(Doing more research before making more pre-orders.)

Alright so the Regular Straight models (raw blue or black) in size 30 measure 31.9" waist, 10.9" rise and 35.4" inseam. In size 29 : 30.7", 10.8" and 35.4". Leg opening is slim but not too tapered (16.5" on sz 34)

The Slim Tapered models (raw blue or black) in size 30 measure 31.9" waist, 9.8" rise and 36.2" inseam. Size 29 : 31.5", 9.6" and 36.2". Leg opening is more narrow (15.5" on size 34)

Thanks, but I'm not sure at all about the fit. I've never found a pair of well-fitting jeans so I've nothing to compare. I think the straight models are mid-rise, and should work on me, but still... May chicken out on jeans for this round.

Are all the Formasas 3 roll 2? Just curious

Yes, except for the DB and 1BPL tuxedo
Greg, what price range are your umbrellas? Nice stuff by the way, look forward to opening.

$255 for the Maglia two-piece, $355 for Maglia one piece, $380 for Talarico (all one-piece)
Any 46 longs going to be in that batch of suits?

Eu 56 yes. 56 Long, not this time. The Formosa 56 are between 31.4" and 31.9" long in the back. Keep in mind that fronts are longer than back in (most) Neapolitan tailoring and that's the case here too.
When are you announcing the contest winner? Need to start allotting time for sock shopping accordingly.

A couple of weeks after we open. I've got to tell you than some people have done an amazing job at getting referrals and increasing their odds to win this. (It isn't too late though...)
I actually really need socks. I need a black knit tie, too.

We have socks. And a black knit tie.
GS 'how to be a man' list says you should buy 20 new pairs of black socks every 6 months

We don't have that
Greg,
Any waxed jackets on offer? I have a couple of Barbours that I love, but would love to try out something new for the Fall.

Not really, no. We have some Mackintosh coats, some great PEdALED Adventure jackets, the Esemplare parkas, and a few other nice pieces of outerwear but no Barbour-like waxed jackets.

We do have some cool waxed cotton Porter bags though...
Everything looks nice, but I will be happy with a decent leather portfolio. Surprisingly hard to find if you don't yet want to make the leap to SAB.

We have a few different ones from Calabrese, La Portegna and Porter.

Yea measurements are meaningless if you don't compare them to something.
Serious question: is merchandise shipped in plain, nondescript packages?

Yes.

But with a huge red ribbon around it with some little bells that jingle

Not really

Guys I visited the warehouse this past weekend -
Fok's allegations of conspiracy are false. This wonderland of tailored goodness is, in fact, real, and the merch is even better than how it looks in person. Also, having talked with Greg - the prices are really good. And I'm not just saying this because of my connection to the store.

So far I'm in for Lunettes shades, the Vass split toes (although the suedes are really awesome too), some IM knits, and a Valstar. Will probably pick up a scarf or two as well. One of the pieces that I didn't know anything about before but really liked was the Stutterheim raincoats. It's hard to explain how they feel, but it's completely different from any other kind of coat. It's like rubber that's been moulded together or something. I love the herringbone LMB polo too but I like my coats knee length and it's more mid-thigh length.

i am teh jelly. i wont be there till mid october. :(

how do you get so much travel time? I CALL NO FAIR!

The lapel roll on the Formosas are pretty epic. Any chance you'll have them make sport jackets for you?
