If you don't mind all synthetic, the heattech vneck shirts from uniqlo serve very well. Deep v works well for unbuttoned shirts, the long sleeve versions are 3/4 length, and they come in other colors if you want to try the non white route.

I like (and wear) UnderFit v-necks.

FME, it's good to have a little bit of a synthetic fiber mixed in with your cotton for undershirts. Undershirts are necessarily thin, and with pure cotton, I find they stretch out too easily. Having a bit of a synthetic blend wont add much to the heat, but it'll add a lot to durability. Same reasoning with socks.

link?

i have come to this conclusion with boxer briefs, i am an underarmour man myself, but im still all cotton with undershirts, perhaps its time for a change.

Great store and thread.

May I request adding the length of sleeves as a measurement for sweaters, sportcoats, overcoats and other similar products? I personally wear a European 48 with long drop, and often have trouble with short sleeves.

I think everyone just needs to buy an Inglese shirt to go with any new under garments.

^ :uhoh:

Sotiris is killing me! It's taking every bit of financial restraint I have to not order another Formosa at the moment.

Sotiris is crushing it.

Thanks guys. This flannel from today is about the only reason I've been able to put up with the lack of spring temperatures here. I definitely see more Formosa's in my future. :inlove:

Sorry, back to undershirts for a moment: what brand of heather grey v-necks do you guys recommend? The ones mentioned here are all white (I think).

I like synthetics in my undershirts because they make the fit so much better.

I don't wear a lot of undershirts - only when it's really cold and I (for one reason or another) am not wearing a sweater or cardigan with a suit/jacket. Otherwise, I like the feel of a fine shirt too much to put a t-shirt in between. Mine are basic cotton v-necks from Uniqlo.
